"The menu has some limited offerings. The prices were higher than expected. Waiters were friendly but not very attentive during our meal. The restaurant interior is very nice but the food is average. Wintertime may be difficult for entry as the front door opens directly into the bar. Patrons seated near the door will be very cold!"

"We went to the annual clam bake. The lobster was a half lobster stuffed with shrimp. The dessert was a cold apple tart of some sort and we had to ask for a warm beverage. On the whole the food was second rate, the lobster was poorly done and the dessert was not very good. The restaurant prides itself as the last bastion of sophisticated dining and that jackets are required for men. All of that folderol would be OK if the product was worth it, it was not!"

"We were a table of 9 on the day after Christmas with some traveling from Toledo others traveling from Cleveland. The staff of Chez Francois could not have been kinder or more patient when the oldest in our group decided that we should sit at a different table than they had already set. It was changed back without hesitation at my request we enjoyed a phenomenal meal with outstanding service in a beautiful setting. This restaurant is worth the drive always has been. We relaxed, enjoyed each other our surroundings, had one of the best restaurant experiences any of us can remember. We chose entrees ranging from the special seafood choices to the classic steaks we all ordered different desserts that were to die for as well. The entire waitstaff was knowledgeable, patient, professional, friendly. There is nothing I would have changed (other than my dad's attempt at a new table! would recommend this to anyone for a superb meal in a warm, pretty setting being attended to by top notch professionals."
