"Our Airbnb host recommended Casa Branca made the booking for us. I had asked him to order a cake (it was a birthday for one of our party of 6) boy did they push the boat out. We were welcomed like old friends were made feel very special. Great conversation with the maitre d. He gave us each a complimentary white port which was totally unexpected delicious. All the dishes were beautifully presented, cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. At the end of the meal the surprise birthday cake with candles was brought to the table. It was really tasty we were all treated to a glass of Espumante. Overall a wonderful experience, highly recommended."

"Stopped in on a Sunday for supper. Mostly snack type food available. We had scallops gratin that was so amazing we ordered another! Arrived in a shell. Contained small scallops and mussels. Also tried the clams which were small baby type. Very good broth. Crab cakes also small but very tasty. Not a lot of selection of beer. Mostly the common lagers found in Portugal but great view from the bar of the ocean. Staff very friendly and were able to provide both a menu in English as well as speak to us fluently in English. Very friendly."

"I love Ela's, I go often. This spring it helped me forget how difficult times have been! I love the mussels and jumbo shrimp tapas particularly! The fish soup is pretty good! Lots of choices of drinks, cocktails, wine, and non alcoholic ... Service friendly and good. At the end of a sweet short walk on the beach promenade in lovely Aguda, right next to the sand and sea. Wonderful place overall!"

"Great entrance off the narrow cobbled and steep street. The views over the town were excellent while the sun was setting. We walked up from the river side after enjoying some port cocktails, got the appetite going. Good choice of local food with a fine dining twist, wine choice was a little limited. Professional service. Part of the Taylor's port house but this was not obvious or abused."
