"Open again under new ownership. traditional pub fayre but have extras. between our group we had: slowly cooked ribs with jack daniels and cola sauce (highly recommended and a generous part) huhn (or lamb) curry (can be as hot as they like) scampi (chips are very good) also have slowly boiled brisket (will have visited this at my next)."

"Of us had a meal on new years eve and the staff were accommodating and told us up front that the kitchen would close at of us ordered belly pork which included a Yorkshire pudding and a selection of market vegetables and...we paid at the till before the meal. Unfortunately the dishes were brought out without the Yorkshire puddings and with just green beans for the veg. We were told that the chef had a different menu and that yorkshire puddings were not on that menu. No offer of an alternative was made and the apology seemed a little late/half hearted. This is a shame because the belly pork itself was very tasty (gravy slightly oversalted) and there were no complaints about the vegetarian sausage dish or the risotto also ordered."

"Just had Sunday roast here. Tasteless beef Looked and tasted like packet beef Thin watery gravy. Overcooked Yorkshire pudding burnt Not worth the £15. Also £5.50 for pint of lemon& lime!"

"I have been using two other companies for take away Indian food and had no idea the Smokehouse Pats cooked Indian food. It is wonderful food, you have got to try it, I wouldn't dream of going elsewhere now. To make things even better the owner of the pub gave away 1400 meals over the lockdown period to old and vunerable people. I encourage everyone to try it. We will be back."

"We ordered a Ham eggs and chips and Steak and Ale pie .Both soon arrived the pie came with cabbage with carrots and ham eggs with a salad ,.The chips were only warm and the cabbage was not cut up big pieces .Other than that the meal was ok ,"
