"Redakteure und andere, ganz normale Menschen haben offenbar unterschiedliche Geschmäcker. Der Autor dieser Zeilen begab sich auf die Suche nach einem authentischen Griechen und wurde in der Zeitschrift PRINZ fündig: Nr. 2 in Hamburg für das Kalivrisi. Das war eine Ansage! Das Resultat war leider beschämend. Entweder war der Koch (der Inhaber?) krank oder ich hatte nur ein rabenschwarzen Tag seines Stellvertreters erwischt. Der (Ersatz-)Koch produzierte jedenfalls ein halb verkohltes Bifteki ... der Schnelligkeit halber zu heiß (und zu kurz) gebraten. Es wurde folglich teilweise rohes Hack angeboten, fast nicht gesalzen; der Appetit schwand schnell, da auch die Beilage (Tomatenreis) und die Füllung (Standard ist Schafskäse!) schwach im Geschmack waren. Der bemühte Service konnte das Desaster nicht mehr vermeiden, d.h. auch ein Ouzo aufs Haus kam da zu spät! Die Katastrophe reichte noch nicht einmal, um noch Kraft für eine milde Beschwerde zu haben. Klar muss sein: die Redaktion von PRINZ scheint nicht essen zu gehen und Restaurant von Imbiss unterscheiden zu können. Der schnelle Esser wird hier günstig satt, aber Bitte: keine Ansprüche an ein Restaurant stellen, das ist es nicht. Es ist ein Imbiss. Hätte ich diese Erwartungen gehabt, wären bei dieser Bewertung wohl mehr Punkte rausgekommen, aber ... Bifteki sollte der Besucher hier besser meiden. Denn westlich von Griechenland gibt es einige Griechen, die die Gäste glücklich machen. Das Kalivrisi gehört definitiv nicht dazu."

"Delicious food, but beware! Large portions. I had the scallops, the Delta dry aged ribeye and creamed spinach. The scallops were big and juicy with a thin tasty batter crust. The beef was tasty just the way it was. As it is dry aged, the ribeye isn't as juicy as the usual steak, but the flavours of the beef are stronger. Some may prefer the normal juicier ribeye, or you can order one of their sauces to go with the steak. As it was white asparagus season, my wife had the white asparagus soup, and salmon with white asparagus. As you can see, the white asparagus is huge and they tasted delicious. The service was attentive even though the restaurant was busy with many delegates from the various conference halls nearby. They have a good selection of wine and liqueurs too."
