"Petit resto dans le cartier notre dame de grace à Montréal, ouvert pour la période du diner(11hres à 15hres environ), situé près de l'université Concordia, un sandwich au poulet , le schnitzel est vraiment bon, en version régulière et épicé su vous êtes amateur de gout assez fort, repas du midi servi avec soupe (aux lentilles : excellente), prix avec taxes environ 10.00$cad.le pain de viande est aussi très bon et ledessert (style gateau au fromage est délicieux). en résumé, si vous prenez le repas complet avec dessert, environ 14.00$. je vous recommande ce petit resto, cuisine familial. bonne bouffe !"

"Went here with a few friends and we ended up waiting a while for a table outside. We could have been seated faster if we opted to sit inside but it appeared that there was no A/C and it seemed quite stuffy.We were glad that we waited as the food was great!The menu is filled with both brunch and lunch options.We will be back to again."

"Attiré par le nom original et par la belle présentation de ce restaurant, ainsi que par le menu original, mais réfractaire à la poutine, j'ai été faire une exploration en famille. La salle est agréable et joliment décorée d'antiquités, me rappelant certaines tavernes où j'avais plaisir à retourner. Bon point : j'ai pu me passer de poutine pour goûter un schnitzel au poulet impeccable, quoique accompagné par des choux braisés plutôt quelconques et des frites un peu milles. Ma femme s'est laissée tenter par un burger habillé de bacon assez aimable, tandis que ma fille a opté pour la poutine Tousqui gagnante du concours de Drummondville en 2012 : apparence pas très ragoûtante, mais accompagnement de schnitzel et de bratwurst délicieuse et goûteuse. Je crois que de l'orge perlée aurait mieux fait l'affaire que le fromage en crottes, mais puisque c'était de la poutine... À côté de nous, notre voisin se régalait d'un burger au canard. Par curiosité, je me suis laissé tenter par un brownie au bacon : superbe, bien présenté, mais trop sucré, il était orné de fins copeaux de bacon cuits à merveille. Toutefois, j'ai trouvé que les deux goûts n'allaient pas ensemble. À retravailler en cuisine, mais l'effort est là.Je n'ai pas eu assez de courage pour essayer le smoothie au foie gras et root beer et je suis sorti un peu dubitatif devant ces combinaisons improbables qui me donnent l'impression de gâcher d'excellents produits. Des qualités, un bel effort, mais un résultat inégal. Je n'y retournerai pas de suite mais je garderai un œil intéressé. Et je me demande toujours comment on peut tant s'identifier à la poutine, que l'on tente de magnifier de mille façons mais dont les ingrédients de base demeurent médiocres, alors que la cuisine régionale est pratiquement inexistante, malgré la qualité des produits."

"The food was awful. The only thing worst was how slow the kitchen was. We were a six top and the wait staff kept bringing out the appetizers one at a time. Spaced twenty minutes apart. After 2 hours and no main entrees yet we...left. Perhaps the restaurant wants you to feel like you are in Russia and have to wait for everything."

"Very small place, not fancy, family run. Chef, waiter and entertainment all in one! Being of Austro-Hungarian descent I would say the food is average but definitely Hungarian. The goulash lack zing and was more like Paprikash..Wiener Schnitzel was good. Prix Fixe on the weekend $30, bring your own wine/beer and make reservations. Entertainment by the owner/chef/waiter was phenomenal - Gypsy violin! You will not find this anywhere! Definitely worth a visit and good value for your $"

"Eat absolutely delicious. Some of the best Israeli Mediterranean food in Montreal. Daily Entree selection, several types of hummus, tahini, falafel, muhammara, fattouch salad, grilled eggplant, you call it. They also make a pretty good Shakshuka. And there is a decent selection of local macrobrows on...Tap, and a handful of vegan desserts. The decor is secret, with large tables for groups, unique sofas and chairs, and the owner's family photos on the walls. Many plants and recipe books scattered, too. A welcoming atmosphere. My only complaint is that the prices are too high for what you get. A main, Entree and drink runs up from $50 per person with tax! A tasting of 5 participants divided between two came to $100 each with a single drink. This is just crazy high, considering the amount of food and prices. Birona is good, but not good enough to go with any kind of regularity at these prices."
