"What is more Bavarian then drinking a beer while eating a haxe overlooking a historic town? I love beer, so I made Loewen Brauhaus a primary stop for lunch after exploring Passau. The inside is beautiful, but I sat outside since the weather was nice....They have a huge seating area, with fast servers. I ordered a few beers while here, all which were very good. I love schweinehaxe, and they are surprisingly cheap in Germany. The haxe here was delicious! Crispy on the outside and fork tender on the inside, it was perfect! Everyone in my party was satisfied with their meals here, I would definitely come back!"

"My wife and I were looking for a warm and authentic place for a German-style lunch on a cold December afternoon. Linden was recommended by a local tour guide. We went in and were warmly greeted and provided with a Wi-Fi code so my...wife could post some pictures from our trip. We both started with the goulash soup which was hearty and delicious. I had the roasted pork with dumplings and she had the pork loin with mushroom gravely and spetzel. Both dishes were well-prepared and delicious. The local wine served by the carafe was also very goof and quite a bargain. The only warning I would offer is that the portions are very generous so bring a healthy appetite. I subsequently read some TA reviews about slow service but I have to say we did not experience that at all. In fact several large parties entered the restaurant after we did and the staff got everyone served in a timely manner without any delays whatsoever. All in all we really enjoyed our experience."
