"I had my 50th birthday at the Maypole! DJ and food laid on by the staff it was amazing I got there early to set up with my friends and the staff there helped out and I even had my hair straightened as I was getting ready by Michelle behind the bar which was super helpful!!! (Great job too) The party was amazing everyone had the most amazing time. We went back for a yummy lunch today and everything was perfect again!! Vince , Leon and the staff are absolutely amazing!!! Thank you so much!!! Shall I reserve the date for my 60th now???"

"Love this place. I was looking for a great local place to eat, with fab food and service and this is the place for us! I'm pretty picky but really, I can't fault it here and quite frankly, I wouldn't want to. Food is always cooked just right and portions are good sized. Staff are friendly and attentive. Clean and comfortable surroundings. Sunday roasts are very popular and you do need to book. Always a good flow of people here, a clear sign of a well run business. Well done and thank you for so many lovely meals."

"These places were recommended to us by a friend who lives in front of location. we were on the high season and wanted a nice Sunday dinner before we returned to london. eating and service were amazing, 3 courses for 20 is incredible worth. I had the pork roast and it is highly recommended. I will make the trip from london again, it would be worth the trip! had in the heart of one of the best frying dinners I've ever eaten. if I could improve a thing, it would be salt and pfeffer grinder not shaker, or at least ground pfeffer, then it would be perfection!"

Confit duck salad for two of us that had almost no duck and was 50% crunch noodles, prawn curry had very few prawns and little chicken in skewers"
