"We were people on a holiday stay in beautiful Seefeld. The Alpenhotel restaurant looked nice and elegant, not so the food and service. We ordered two dishes of veal schnitzel and two dishes of grilled trout. The trouts seemed to be cooked by a...cook who hates to cook. Both fish dishes were inedible. The fish on the plate was still bleeding and hardly cooked . It came on a bed of too salty spinach, surrounded by tired pieces of potatoes. The schnitzel was OK in comparison to the awful trout dish, but was burnt and soaked in burnt oil. However, the worst part of the meal was that, after we returned the uncooked fish to the kitchen, the nervous, unskilled waitress, insisted that we pay for the inedible dishes that were returned to the kitchen. There seemed to be no manager on sight. We had to resort to speaking with the hotel receptionist who called for help another stuff member. The stuff member who came to help, a young woman, did understand the issue and approached the cook and the waitress, who in respond started a noisy argument .Screams could be heard across the dining hall which was disturbing. With the help of the young woman staff member the inedible dishes were deducted from the total bill. Needless to say we found this restaurant to be not a place of choice for enjoying a tasty or peaceful meal during our vacation."

"The apple strudel was amazing and large, worth attempting to eat it though. Easily managed after a walk aroud the lakes! A great Alm with really good food and drink. The staff also add their eunique charm to the proceedings aswell."

"Had dinner here twice and found the food of good standard but don't expect much finesse in the dishes as they are mostly hearty Austrian type fare, apart from the Pizzas. Daily menu offering courses good value. Ambiance is nice, if not a bit...over the top, and there is live music late at night. Recommend."
