Right in the middle of town Alt Seefeld looks imposing with a large outside seating area on two levels. But don't be put off. What you get wether they are busy or not is excellent personal service and excellent food. Our visit was on a fairly gloomy rain threatening evening and the inside lights of the restaurant were very inviting. Sit were you like and the waiter comes promptly. What Merle Cummings doesn't like about AM Kurpark:
A very easy to forget the place. Not waste to much time but the kind of place that serves from the bag soup and vert forgettable meals. It has a live band in the evening, but really what we heard was more of the type...to scare the customers away then add to a dining experience. Eaten here numerous times and it always delivers good tasty food with generous portions at a sensible price. Don't be put off by the dated decor it's.well worth a visit. Staff are always welcoming and efficient and speak excellent English which is greatly appreciated. Today we had the Kaiserschmarm and it was one of the best we have ever had......and boy have we had a few! Go on...spoil yourself!
Part of the Kaltschmid hotel but is a public bar with cosy atmosphere and friendly staff who speak good English. There is outdoor and indoor seating. Outdoor area has heaters for the cooler evenings. Also serves food tea, coffee, cakes and ice cream. There is a live entertainer and dancing in the evenings.
We popped in here several times while we were on holiday in Seefeld. There always seemed to be a nice table free and big enough for the 6 of us and although the service was not particularly friendly, the drinks and menu suited us. We mainly had drinks, but we did try the shredded pancakes with both the plum and apple sauce, chips, pizza and goulash soup. All of which were very good and not too dear.
Lunchtime with tasty pizza for the teenager, spaghetti carbonara and soup for the grandparents. Slow service, but friendly staff.
We stopped to come out of the cold for a sweet treat and coffee. The staff was incredibly sweet, spoke English and was super fast. It is a beautiful room with delicious desserts.
