"We were rescued tonight by Normand's! We had a reservation at another restaurant that fell through and I called Normand's and was able to book a table right away. The staff here is impeccably friendly and professional, and the atmosphere is so romantic and unique. The food is amazing. I didn't expect the portions to be so generous for the price! I had the bison carpacio (easily large enough to share) and my parents had the escargot. Both were incredible, and the carpacio in particular paired very well with our wine. For an entree I had the wild game feature dish which included elk and boar. YUM! And for dessert I had the bananas flambee which was phenomenal.This was our first time here and it will certainly not be our last! There were so many delicious sounding entrees that I am eager to try. If you are planning a nice dinner you should visit Normand's!Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating for a gluten free diet!"

"I am so in love with this place I am writing reviews everywhere to tell people about it. I started off ordering in to my work for lunch from Skip the Dishes. I then began to go directly to the source. Located in not-the-greatest-area on 101 St. in Edmonton, you will immediately forget all about that once you step inside. It is a warm and cozy little patisserie-type place where goodies literally abound. I used to be addicted to their delicious eggs Benedict served with salad until today. Today, I had their lunch combo for $17.95 and had the scrambled eggs with turkey and chicken bacon on a croissant. This came as well with a salad, a drink and dessert. I have found a new addiction *drool*. It was divine! I am so in love with this place and think it is the best restaurant in all of Edmonton. I will be buying my airplane meal from them and taking gifts to my family in Toronto as well as trying not to return on a daily basis for lunch. Oh well, see you tomorrow M&G!"

"Pleased. $60 for 3 including a decadent dessert.Dropped in for a late lunch with the kids in tow. Really liked the decor.Enjoyed their house recipe iced tea.I decided on the meatloaf sandwich with an upgraded side of chili poutine. Delicious. A well put together dish.Children both had selections from the kids menu. Really impressed with the quality and construction of both. Macaroni was obviously homemade, and fresh. Added sausage for a nice touch. Heck...I helped finish this one...and could have had more!Grilled cheese was also great.We all shared a big old piece of chocolate cake (alas the only dessert not made onhouse.) Pricey at $9 for a slice...but worked out well portion wise when split 3 ways.Not in a rush to revisit...but certainly worth another round."
