"Small cafe with good breakfast. Coffee was good. Surprised they ran out of croissants for our order, but substituted another more expensive item at no up charge. Nice place for a good breakfast."

"I went to Bubbles to have a quick breakfast/brunch with my friend who came to visit Zurich for the first time. The male waiter took our order but apparently he forgot to forward our order to the kitchen (1 fruit salad, 1 bagel because new...guests received their (hot! orders before us. 45 minutes later when the waiter realized, he brought us the wrong food!! A quick “sorry” would’ve been totally fine but he got snappy and disrespectful when we approached him the first time and got an attitude when we told him we didn’t feel very welcomed here. All together unfortunately the first thing my friend had to witness in Zurich, and definitely a reason to NEVER go there again. Welp! WORST SERVICE I’ve ever seen!"

"Though the food was good and ample, the culinary artistry suggested by its name was not in evidence. This seems mainly a place where the locals go. It is unpretentious, mostly Swiss and reasonable. They have daily specials that include something additional to the main...dish, such as a salad. It is located in the Seefeld section and closes at pm. Restaurants serving dinner usually first open at pm, so Escoffier is fine for an early dinner or lunch."

"We sent our relatives to the airport this day and spent a few hours in Zurich. Food options are a lot, but many of the price tags are quite hefty... even for Switzerland. Zurich is just a rather expensive place (and that comes from me to be Swiss itself. One of the more affordable options is this restaurant café on a sub-level in Zurich Train Station. There are some nice seats and tables, but also some massive woven tables with benches. It was pretty packed this day, so the bank was. Not too comfortable if you stay for a while. The menu was very interesting (all day breakfast and at the end we went for a Prosciutto Panini (Ham , a Pastrami Panini, scrambled eggs with bacon and toast and a beef burger with frits. With some water and beer. The Panini will take us back 10 CHF and 12 CHF (for a small, the eggs with pages 10 CHF and the burger 17 CHF PLUS 5 CHF for the frits. The Panini were a bit disappointed. Pretty small (also for a small portion and there was not really a meat inside. Pastrami has nothing to do with the true original American pastrami. The eggs with bacon were good but 10 mice for a small bowl of breakfast. Oh, good. The burger was pretty good. Patty had a nice taste, good meat quality, a little small. The burger itself was a bit dry. But the frits were beautiful, hot and crispy. A decent meal. But together with Fritten 22 bucks is at the top. Beer was nice and cold, 7 dollars for half a liter. Eating doesn't make a great place. The best was definitely the burger, the presentation was also beautiful. The other things we wouldn't order again. But service was very friendly and our dog was also welcome. All in all, it's still a good place to grab a quick bite... other places even cost more. There are always the great chains natural (the king and the clown... but sometimes you want to try something else. And this place was all right. But only."
