"We booked ahead as it was a visit for my Husbands birthday. When we arrived we were old that they could not find the booking even though it had been made less than an hour before. Once we were seated it took quite a long time to be given the menus. There was a couple who arrived after us and they had drinks served to them almost straight away. Once we were given our menu the food was nice. In all honesty I did not feel that we were made very welcome and there was no acknowledgement of my Husband’s birthday either. Although that food was nice the service was poor."

"The family-run peking cuisine restaurant has been serving customers in acton and ealing since 1976. it is in a parade of shops and has simple decoration: blue patterned carpet, a mirror on a wall and opposite wall painted a terracotta color. there is about a dozen tables, and all were taken on this Sunday night. the today older man hungry sun lou was the long-term chef chef, although he has today mostly entered the retirement; he was once chef of herrn chow in knightsbridge. "I've been here several times and it has improved on each occasion. The main reason for visiting is a very convenient location, plus a super sun terrace in front. Salad bowls are good, the kimchi one particularly, and so is service. Prices are quite high, but so are all the decent places in this area."

"The restaurant is located next to a tesco on the main street. parking was a pain, fortunately it was a Sunday so the local residents were booked free. we went in and sat fast, the restaurant was small and the seats were tightly packed, we took the window seats that were nicely spaced in the opposite to the center of the restaurant. we went for the Sunday roast menu. drinking quickly came, eating came in 20 minutes. the chicken roast was delicious, the circumcisions were nice. Negative: the bratkartoffeln were dry with the yorkshire pudding. the cream brulé for dessert with latte and green tea, desert and green tee were beautiful."

"This was a real treat for our family of four and we were not disappointed. The food is absolutely delicious and the presentation is very beautiful and special. The waitress was extremely friendly and helpful too…and even gave us some of the chef’s freshly made red bean jelly to sample! We will definitely be back! please try out this wonderful restaurant. A hidden gem for sure,"

"We went with friends for lunch on Bank Holiday Monday. I checked the website beforehand to ensure there was plenty of choice on the menu. When we arrived we were told that the menu was reduced as it was a holiday Monday this was not mentioned on the website. Never mind. We struggled to find something substantial to order that wasn 't brunch like or a burger (particularly as I have a cheese allergy and came up with a chicken Caesar salad for which we asked for a French dressing rather than the usual dressing. No, couldn 't do that (really?! so we had a kind of vinaigrette which was pleasant but not spectacular. To start we had a very good homemade hummus and then ordered 'nuts and nibbles ' well, we got the nibbles but were told they were out of nuts (huh! having already been told they were out of olives. Not good enough. Dessert was Eton Mess no, it wasn 't it was a meringue basket with fruit on top nice but not a Mess! As this was our first visit to Soane 's we were naturally disappointed as, in terms of ambience, it is lovely. One big plus was our charming Italian waitress. We hope to go again when maybe they are better organised."
