"4 plates divided. Scallops cooked perfectly, sauce not very aromatic, chased the small amount of peas around the plate. Beet platter was good. Tuna poke had strings of supposedly kelp salad, fries were sparse and not wasabi powder. If more chips were requested, the answer was "not sure but will be checked". Return with 4 chips. It seemed rather strange that the smoked bluefish and avocado toast was served with bluefish on one toast and avocado on the other."

"Mastro's never fails to deliver an excellent experience and outstanding meal. Due to COVID we opted to take the order back to our room, which was a bit of a leap of faith as take out is never as good as eat in. I was very pleasantly surprised. The sea bass was cooked to perfection, tender, hot and delicious. The same went for the rest of the meal. The only minor disappointment was the butter cake, as by the time we finished it was not as spectacular as dine in would be. It still tasted great, but was a bit dried out due to not being served warm. Packaging using dry ice and ice packs kept the ice cream and shrimp at a perfect temperature. This may have been the most extravagant take out ever, but more than lived up to their reputation."

"Overall, our experience at The House Brasserie was fine. My husband and I have gotten into cocktails lately, so I wanted to take him somewhere for his birthday with a cozy vibe and excellent cocktails. I mentioned in my reservation that this was a very special occasion, a birthday. I didn’t necessarily expect anything outside the norm for mentioning that. But it was clear upon entry that they do not read these messages attached to the reservations, as she wasn’t aware I had requested a patio table. When we saw the patio was empty, we decided inside was better anyway. The hostess then sat us next to the drunkest table of jerks I have ever been sat by, and my husband and I yelled to hear each other for the first minutes before we gave in and couldn’t take it any more, and asked to be moved. They were super accommodating and nice about it. But even so, the evening just didn’t feel special. The service was good but not standout, the food was good but exorbitantly expensive for what it was. The cocktails were excellent though so at least one need fully met! Anyway given the crowd this place draws in, and the cost vs lack of top tier service, I don’t think I’d return soon. Maybe for drinks at the bar before heading somewhere else. We went to Hillstone the next evening to celebrate with my parents and the service there was outstanding and professional, exactly what you’d hope at that price point. Just my two cents"
