"Dong Dong Noodles in Kingsford is very popular with the locals so that's a good sign. A good range of entrees like spring rolls, sang chou bow, soups and steamed wonton. The mains include pork, beef or chicken options with different sauces; sweet and sour, black bean, oyster, salt and pepper and more. There's also hot pots, seafood and vegetables and bean curd. A range of stir fried noodles, chow menu, vermicelli, fried rice, laksa and congee etc can also be ordered. This place has bbq chicken, duck, with sides (only available before 9:45pm). We got the san choy bow and scrambled egg with prawn. They were both very tasty! They were also so fast, quite possibly the fastest service i've ever had. For a drink we got a hong kong lemon iced tea."

"A great authentic dry hot pot option in Astoria! Very grateful I don?t have to venture out to Flushing for this cuisine anymore. You can never go wrong with the spicy garlic cucumber appetizer and in the dry hot pot get the thing slice beef, fish, enoki mushrooms, cilantro, ribbon noodles, and a veggie like bok choy. You can choose your spice level and for those who have never had northern Szechuan food before: beware the pepper corn. This is a unique type of spice thatyou may have to grow to love and once you do there?s no going back! Malala can be very busy on weekends in which we have waited 20 mins instore after ordering ahead about 40 mins but that was after the pandemic when they seemed shortstaffed. Dining in is always a great experience as well with their soothing decor and relatively quiet ambiance. They can rarely be stingy on portions but we typically always have leftovers for lunch the next day with a typical hot potorder!"

"Today was my second visit, the disappointment was too great, they have changed a lot, the price has gone up for self service and the food taste is average, The chef's special menu, chicken gyejang kalguksu, is really inedible, the bulgogi ttukbei is just sweet, and the yukbokki is spicy and salty. Lastly, the spam stone pot bibimbap was tasteless because the spam was too dry.I don't want to come back. For this price, you can enjoy full service and taste at other Korean restaurants."

"Ordered sesame chicken chef's special, which comes in a plastic dinner type container with a clear plastic lid. It was good flavor, quality and portion size. Also ordered sweet and sour chicken dinner and it came in a folding box with a few pineapple, green pepper and onion chunks, and a big side cup of s&s sauce. Both came with a smaller folding container of white rice, and were good flavor, quality and portions. Ordered 2 orders (5 count) of crab ragoons and they were good except for not very hot, but still tasted of great quality and were big, also came with sweet and sour sauce to dip. 4 fortune cookies were included, they accepted the coupon online from their pdf menu, and I asked for a take out menu which has coupons for next time. Staff was friendly, and food was ready for pickup in 15 minutes. I do not think they use msg as i was able to eat more than 4 bites, and do not feel sick like i usually do after eating msg."
