"Wonderful waiter, but still long wait time for food. Corn chowder was overly sweet. Duo lamb dish had one lamb chop that was overcooked, pieces of lamb, and mushy vegetables. My wife's salmon was very good. Cookies were good. Did not order dessert as they were all too complex. We have dined here since they opened 25 years ago. Costly for what we received."

"Fantastic! In an Industrial area, totally safe and a working man bar. Amazing cocktails, Cobb Salad was new worldly delicious. Private Sports TVs in every booth. A cigar smoking area and club and food off the chizang. Owners Jim and Donna have a hidden gem. Try the specially appetizer Spretzels with your favorite beer! Amaaaaazing!"

"I know most restaurants have trimmed their menus due to the recent economic conditions, but I think the Excelsior Inn has gone a bit too far. I had reviewed their menu online and was looking forward to the dinner. The actual menu, however, was far, far less than advertised. Again, I understand a limited menu, but I really found the menu to be much too limited. No real selections for a high-end restaurant. We won't be back unless and until we know that the menu is back to some semblance of normal. By the way, we have one other restaurant that did the same thing and we won't be returning there until the menu improves. I just think the Excelsior has gone too far."

"Pizza is made a little thinner, amazing crust, light on the sauce and oh so good. Their beers are great quality and variety, brewed right on site. The eclectic, casual, indoor-outdoor vibe is great and you can fit in a little trainspotting if you like. Highly recommend!"

"Excellent ambiance and attentive service, but most importantly the food was great! My wife and I both started with a Sunomono salad I added octopus while she did shrimp. Both were delicious. We then had three rolls the Spicy California, the Dark Ángel, and the Dracula. Once again, all delicious. All the rolls included their unique black rice, that when mixed with white rice, gives the rolls a cool purple look, and imports a wonderful nutty flavor to the rolls. Truly excellent sushi!"
