"Food Truck in Haleiwa, you will have lots of shrimp trucks to choose from, and I've eaten at all of them. Just be a use one is the oldest or gets the most reviews does not make it the best. Keep in mind that none of these trucks serve fresh shrimp from Kahuku. Of them, Big wave has the most balanced flavor, not just hot or garlic, but a well balanced and large plate of Shrimp."

"Visited their new dine-in location in Haliewa and was blown away by both the authenticity of the cuisine and the graciousness of the staff, including the owner. I'm a native Louisianian with Cajun roots so I must admit I was a bit skeptical at first. The owner saw my LSU hat and came out to personally greet us. He took time to chat and through our conversation you could tell he has a true passion for sharing authentic Cajun cuisine with locals and tourists from around the world alike. In fact, he and the staff made sure to show aloha to everyone else dining while we were there. We had a variety of delicious poboys but the best was the NOLA style bbq shrimp. Great food, atmosphere and people. They even serve Community Coffee with chicory!"

"Disappointed. the command was wrong. when my friend was asked, the guy who works there began screaming at him and did not listen to why we need to change the order. the art was really bad. the guy took the wrong sign back and never gave us the food we ordered, nor refund. overall communication is bad. the guy just yelled at my friend, but not I could be the reason my friend is black. with many good reviews may be a bad experience inadvertent, but also shows the restaurant works differently, depending on your own moods on this day and who the customers are."

"A food truck on the main street with shared picnic tables with other food trucks. The butter and garlic shrimp were amazing! Served with rice, salad and pineapple wedge. Line can be long but it is worth the wait."

"The garlic shrimp was the worst shrimp I have ever had. I'm being honest. I did not know it was possible to mess up garlic shrimp. I am sorry I have to do this review, but you really need to offer a better product to the public. The shrimp had a mushy breaded paste covering with what tasted like low quality jarred garlic. Some shrimp was pealed, some wasn't. The rice was mushy and the salad was a low quality iceberg lettuce. Please step up your game and work on your recipes and quality to match the prices you are charging."
