"This was the big Korean restaurant a few years ago...now there are a few more in the area. The reason why I keep coming back is the special attention I get from staff and the owners. I am always remembered and treated with respect. The...More"

"We were meeting a friend for dinner who lives nearby, so decided to give this a try. They didn't seem to take reservations (I now understand that they do take reservations, but not for later than 6:30?), but it was a Wednesday night so we decided to take a chance, and had no problem getting seated. The room is very attractive, our server was lovely, and we felt good about supporting a business that makes its own pasta. The food prices were very reasonable, and if there is another restaurant in Greater Vancouver where you can buy a bottle of wine for $25, I don't know what it would be!We shared a couple of appetizers, and then each had a pasta dish. The artichoke puree on toast was good, but the bruschetta was too brittle and shattered into small pieces. The pasta dishes were perfectly fine, but not great. I had the Nduja Casarecce, and thought that it would have benefitted from a more generous allocation of the seafood. Given the $16 price, however, they would quickly go broke if they actually did add more seafood! We shared a piece of maple-walnut cheesecake, which was only so-so. The espresso was of the bitter variety that - inexplicably to me - some places favour (Hawksworth, for example, which gets rated as Vancouver's best restaurant, also serves this bitter style).Anyway, the things I disliked were certainly outweighed by this restaurant's good points, and I'd happily visit again."

"The name of the restaurant is slightly misleadingI think the chef's forte is pasta, not fish."

"My wife and I have been going to V-Nam for over 5 years after discovering it by chance while visiting Vancouver on holiday. Having travelled extensively I can honestly say that's it's by far the best Vietnamese restaurant we have ever been to. Super delicious soups and bowls with the best spring rolls ever. Very clean with excellent service. If your looking for great V-Restaurant then look no further than V-Nam."

"Genuine Vietnamese noodles in a savoury broth and other goodies including excellent cho gia and Vietnamese sandwiches. Great place to go when you don't want to bother preparing dinner."

"We’ve eaten at Lobby many times over the last probably 8 years. One of my good friends worked at it for many years which is how it started. They have a dedicated fryer, which is awesome as they make delicious Parmesan truffle fries. Most of the menu is or can be done gluten free. Even the macarons on the crème brûlée are gf. Staff is always knowledgeable and will double check with the kitchen. I know the management and kitchen staff have changed a few times but fortunately the food has remained delicious, gf, and minimal changes to the menu."

"If your aim is to feed youngsters breakfast or lunch without crippling the budget, this is the place. The upholstery rips and wobbly tabletop demonstrated the restaurant has grown tired but the cheerful server had me onside. With smiles for everyone and eagerness to satisfy, she demonstrated proficiency as well. Kind of a change from those pretentious chain operations that dump their servers once they age beyond the early twenties. The menu could easily be the same one offered in the eighties. It was typical diner fare but that's OK, particularly if you like eggs, potatoes, bacon and sausages. The children enjoyed milkshakes and were happy with the limited choice. Had a nutella & salted caramel shake been offered, there would have been no takers among my group. Perhaps that explains the restaurant. It is not complicated food and it appeals to people who want uncomplicated food. The room is large and the restaurant looks over the plaza outside the City library. A bit of seating and an small water feature attracts pedestrian traffic and, while there is limited street parking, there is underground parking nearby."

"Deep Cove is a rustic suburb of Vancouver, with a lovely coastline (an inlet from the open sea) and a small commercial area.Though this restaurant doesn't look like much, they know how to batter and deep-fry fish, which not many restaurants in town can do well. Since there is no restaurant with much of a view anyway, if you came out here to enjoy the Cove, you should consider this place. Even from the city proper, if you're hankering for fish and chips, this is worth the 30-minute drive.Wish they would improve on the "chips", which are the most ordinary factory fries imaginable. This restaurant would do better if they made a little effort on the decor, and narrowed the menu to project a clearer image to potential patrons."

"I ordered food through this place by giving the dishes that I got my order and here were the problems: my sub was missing you gave me additional things (some cow thing) that no one can eat in my house Also they gave me 2 extra... The bubble tea was much too sweeter than cotton candy, my sister threw out him also my noodles were stuck together. I called the place and told them about the missing item from my order and how they added extra things. They told me they called me to let me know that they ran out of the sub I wanted, but I didn't answer that was my fault and then they told me I could keep the extras. Then 5 minutes later they call me saying that they're coming to pick up the extras well, I said no you can't have my family already started eating / drinking, so then they said okay. Please do not order from this place to save your money, time and energy it is terrible!"
