"This place has completely turned itself around. We have visited in both winter and summer, and on warm summers evening the place truly comes into its own, sitting on the terrace eating the very best of light, delicate dishes, friendly service and fine wines. Happy to return to this over and over again, and recommend it to friends."

"Normally, when we stay with my brother-in-law in the countryside near Uzes, we shop in the outdoor markets and eat at home. He and his wife generously invited us to this nearby gourmet restaurant that is part of a small, four-star hotel near the Pont...du Gard. The buildings belonged to a wayside inn: rustic, with the native stone being the construction materials, but completely modernized. Since it was summer, we had dinner out on their expansive, enchanting terrace with olive trees that border the pool. The service was excellent. The food, divine, looking like works of art, as in most gastronomic restaurants in France. Their menu relies on regional, seasonal products, and that means great meat, fish and seafood, and fruits and vegetables. It is limited (I think there were or entrees and or main course choices (fish, fowl, and meat, as I recall). They have a more extensive tasting menu, which we did not try. I had a lovely dish with frogs legs and then an excellent fish. Vegetarians should contact them in advance--they say on their site that they can prepare dishes catering to the food requirements of the guests. I don't recall, if there was a vegetarian option that evening. They have a nice wine selection. My husband chose a beautiful red from the Chateau Puech-Haut near Montpellier, one of the top producers in the Languedoc. It's made biodynamically. I did not have dessert, but they looked delicious. All in all, a magical evening."
