"Le Tracteur has been in business for a long time now and continues to offer a straight forward formula of a small number of menu options of well executed traditional French dishes sometimes with a modern twist at a good price. I enjoyed rognons de veau as a starter cooked in a traditional manner with the twist being an addition of almonds on the top which I am not sure worked but was not a significant negative. I followed with a really proper joue de boeuf in red wine which was really full of flavour and excellent. The owner likes to provide a local take on the British dessert of fruit crumbles which he does with an assured touch. Altogether, a good experience in the countryside with local people enjoying their night out in a relaxed atmosphere with slightly over worked but friendly staff. There is a good list of local wines at a reasonable price."

"Colias is a wonderfully beautiful town (more village really) with fantastic views of the Gardon river where it sweeps around some fairly tight curves causing great undercuts in the rock. Canoeing is a big thing in Colias. Right next door to the river on the main street running up the hill is the local pub (well ok then not Pub but bar). It seems clean and fairly busy but friendly to foreigners? Not as good as it could be. It is sad to mention it but if only the little way out places such as this bar in colias could see the bigger picture, understand the benefits locally to good tourist trade, participate in sharing and enriching others from around the world, the benefits to their neighbours could be immense."
