"I have dined at the Ritz many times over the years and enjoyed the very best of service and food. Sadly last night was a completely different experience. The food was still excellent but the service fell far short of its own standards. We arrived at 19:15 for dinner and it started well. Food ordered and starters arrived promptly. We ordered the duck for two and after the expected wait (40 minutes quoted on the menu) it arrived. They then took the legs away to slow cook. Over an hour later they served the legs. So the time from ordering the duck to finishing the main course was 1.45 hours! I finally got our bill at 22:45, 3.5 hours after arriving. Diners coming in after us were done and dusted long before we were able to. Service was inattentive and slow and the lateness of leaving meant we had to wait 30 minutes to get a cab. Thankfully the door man went above and beyond to get a taxi. Had we been able to leave at a reasonable time say 22:15 we could have avoided the post theatre rush. Very disappointing."

"Staff are great and easy to approach, awesome knowledge and love of the menu. They were happy to recommend an unusual cut for a meat lover and an aged cut cooked medium for my partner who usually has well done. Both steaks were unbelievable. <br/ <br/ Fantastic selection of beers a well traveled Australian has not yet experienced, recommend the double red ale and the milk stout. <br/ <br/ Also It had one of the best tasting kids meals, my poor son had to share his gnocchi"

"He was beautiful and the service was also very good, but the aromen were somewhat disappointing. we had the 3-course menu. the hunch pâté was strange and had some gristle. the only taste in the court comes from the sardines. the trout was good when a little old designed in his presentation. the black was also good, but it was just pork, nothing interesting or inventive about it. I couldn't eat more than a few bites of my pollen because it had no spice and the skin was soggy. the green sauce that came on the side was lively, but unfortunately had no taste either. the kartoffels were the only component of the teller that was seasoned and I enjoyed them. the personal noticed that I did not enjoy it, and we were not charged for this court. for dessert we had crème brulée the tip was unbreakable, so we could just pee a bit at the edges and the floor was delicious, but definitiw not crème brulée. the best part was the apricose layer that went beautifully with the lavender sauce. our other dessert was a chocolate mousse with some heavenly components. it was also good, but not spectacular. the crispy celestial wafer was the star, as he balanced the other soft textures. they also brought us a chocolate birthday cake, which I suspect they hold a consist of frozen. it wasn't nice. my favorite part of the meal was my cocktail. a vanilla and passion fruit martini. it was nice. the French martini was good. the decoration was also very beautiful and flowering, but if I came back, I would stay at the bar in the first floor."
