"It's not a very high maintenance restaurant. It pretty much looks like a family business. But it's the hospitality and home cooked food feeling that drives me and my wife to this restaurant.as mentioned in my previous review, I said I will here to try main course and so was I. We went on a Sunday morning around 11 or 12 .we ordered for bhalla papri and then ordered for a mooli paratha thali and my wife ordered for paneer dosa. Sambar along with dosa was so delicious and less on spices as we had asked for it. Paratha was so home tasting one. Love it. We drank mango lassi too, but not so good honestly, was good according to the restaurant standards but we were expecting the traditional flavour and not the restaurant flavour. Then inspired by the brunch we had we decided we will get stuff packed for our dinner too as we live in red deer. We got palak paneer and kadi pakoda and 2 samosa's to go. My wife liked the sweets and we did get one or two pieces of everything packed. When everything was paid for we forgot to pay for 2 samosa's to which aunty(I guess the owner) said no worries, pay next time. That was such a sweet gesture. We will surely be there in 2 weeks again to eat and pay for our 2 samosas. I am so much in love with this place, me and my wife have decided,each time we visit Calgary, we will eat here only."

"I have driven past this restaurant many times but have never thought twice about it. But if you're looking for authentic Indian food, this is the place! The lamb biryani (or biryani is general) is beyond my expectations. Definitely worth multiple visits!"

"I was at my daughter's volleyball tournament in NE Calgary and was fortunate to have about an hour between games. I headed over to a nearby mall and found the casual Punjabi sweet house restaurant. Smelled wonderful and was bustling with take out and a...few eat in customers. I ordered the veggie thalia which included buttery fresh soft naan,three kinds of veggie curry- lentil, chickpea and paneer, rice, salad and yoghurt. Amazing flavours, each curry was very unique and all well spiced. Enjoy if you go."

"We tried their lunch buffet which was on special for $12.49 (usually $13.95). The food was hot and they offered a lovely selection, which our server advised changes daily. There was a nice variety of vegetarian curries as well as several different meat dishes, including some of the best butter chicken I've eaten. They provide a nice range of condiments such as mint sauce, raita, hot sauces and pickled vegetables. They also had pakoras and samosas, a salad, and three different desserts included in the buffet. In addition, they brought complimentary warm naan to the table. Their bar menu is limited to a few cocktails, but they offered a variety of lassi (salted, sweet, mango and rose), fruit shakes, and fruit/lemonade combinations. According to our server, who was fabulous, the owner is East Indian, and a chef, and this was reflected in the quality of the food and service. The decor is pleasant, with about a dozen tables. If their quality continues, I anticipate they will not have any trouble filling those tables. We left feeling well-fed, and will definitely return."
