"Well there is a new restaurant in the Kanata area, it's a buffet. I was never fond of buffet, in that, once seated, you are told "the buffet is open" then you never see your server until they walk by pick up your used plates, then bring you the bill and usually that is the only interaction you have with the staff...... Well at Viva International Buffet, not so at all. First the food is awesome, great in quantity and quality. The staff is amazing, they care, they interact, they talk, they make recommendations on beverages. My wife wanted an item that was on the buffet day prior, they made it at no extra charge. Great food, great staff, awesome feed, overall a great evening. Looking forward to the next visit."

"My husband and I came here for supper and will never be returning. I had several issues with this restaurant. 1. They give you tea (without asking) and then charge you $1.00 for it on your bill. 2. Asked for water a couple times in a span of 20 minutes and got a "ugh, it's coming, it's coming." 3. The food is nothing special, overall bland. 4. The cashier was having a full out having a argument with a customer who had ordered take-out-the customer was acting fairly calm. I will never be returning to this restaurant; if you're looking for great Chinese food I'd suggest Kung Fu Bistro in Stittsville."

"Wow. Have not been here in a couple of years. Boy did this place go downhill. What a dump. Disgusting. Went for lunch on Friday. We were not served what we ordered. I think we were served whatever was left over from lunch. We ordered...grilled chicken skewers and they served something hard, crusty and deep fried on a stick. It was absolutely hilarious. Stuff started showing up at the table (stuff we had not ordered and the stuff we ordered never arrived. The stuff that did arrive was disgusting and the waitress was absolutely no help. We tried to explain we were receiving the wrong food. The waitress simply walked away talking to herself. Furthermore, while I was eating they began mopping the floors right beside me (after having mopping the bathroom/ with smelly, filthy water. What a smell. They left so much water on the floor the patrons were all laughing. I can’t believe this plan has not been shut down. Nice visit for a story, but not such a good eating experience let alone the health risk."

"This is the first time we ate here since the name changed. The young lady who served us barely spoke English, although she was friendly. She had no idea what a gin and tonic was..... The food although good, was soso. I have had better Indian food. It was really, really quiet. Just us and another table. We were told by the server to eat from the buffet because the kitchen was too busy to prepare food from the menu. Pity. Not a lot of things on the buffet e.g. no choice of curries"

"Book a reservation on the strength of Tripadvisor reviews. We do not get to Kanata regularly so this was a pleasant departure from Normal pedestrian roadhouse venues, quaint and funky. The service from Andrea was perfect and attentive, the advice superb, my lady follows a gluten free diet, so menu items were adapted to her sensitivities. Above all the food was superb and the presentation even better. Want to impress a loved one, take the to Amuse!"
