"We have dined here several times. It is a unique setting for this area. Once you get in the atmosphere is great. It's like a big pool party ( with no one n the pool). The have wonderful music. Food is very good. We like the steak. Hard to get good steak in Melaque. Recommend to anyone."

"Our favorite spot for a meal on the beach for sunset had been Marlena's in Barra, until she moved. But we tried Albatros, on the beach in Melaque, and it was great. The restaurant/bar has seating above beach level or down on the sand. They have lots of big umbrellas to provide shade from the sun. They have happy hours. They have live music some nights, starting at 7 or later. We loved their onion rings, in a panko style coating rather than heavy batter. My wife had their Camarones al Coco coconut shrimp some of the best we have had served with a delicious sauce which had hints of ginger and tamarind. I had dorado with cilantro butter sauce delicious and perfectly cooked. The sunset is not your classic El Sol dips behind the mountains but still lovely. Fine service. Albatros is now our favorite waterfront restaurant on the Bahia de Navidad!"

"Marcela moved to a new location this year 2017. She was previously at The Patio. She brought her chef with her ( she's dynamite with a great personality). The restaurant is located on " taco row" on the second floor. Stairs are located inside the flower shop. Is the most interesting setting in the area. Not your typical palapa it has a wooden roof with great spans of lumber. Have seen nothing like it here.So, the best part is the food. We have had the dorado, ribeye ( yes it is possible to get a true medium rare steak here, everywhere else it is overdone no matter how you asked for it) , shrimp, pastas, lasagna and also breakfast/ brunch served fri,sat,sun. I personally love the "Alice breakfast( named after her mother)"
