"We've passed by this place a bunch of times while driving from Puerto Vallarta to Bucerias and decided to stop for lunch since we needed to pick up something within the same shopping mall. Their weren't many people in the restaurant at the time, so the service was prompt and efficient, the staff is young but very polite, but the place lacks that warm feeling that we've come to expect from so many restaurants in Mexico.We ordered the Aquachile Mixto, Camerones (shrimp) al ajo (with garlic) and the Coconut shrimp. The food was good, but not great. It all just seemed to have that commercial cranked out kind of feel to it. No real flavor. No style. No sizzle. But it was good, no complaints, probably not a restaurant that we'll hit up a second time."

"We read the reviews and expected great food...we were incredibly disappointed. This is the only Italian restaurant I have been to that did not have good bread! Not only did we have to ask for it 4 times but when we finally received it, the bread was terrible. We had main courses that were recommended by the staff, chicken and broccoli and lasagne - awful. The fresh made pasta was too al dente and the sauce was all oil, and not the yummy high quality kind. While the view of the sunset couldn't help but be gorgeous because it is ocean front, the ambiance was not improved by the background music. I must say that the Caesar salad was exceptional and the house red wine was pleasant. Sadly there is nothing else about our experience worth repeating. With an abundance of high quality food and service in Vallarta, Guido's did not meet our expectations or the reviews."
