"I was there for an hour without being acknowledged. Went up to the hostess seating groups and flat out said “we are too busy right now, will come back when something opens up” What’s the point of a reservations?! Got in at 1:15pm and left at 2:30 when my reservation was for 1:30pm. What a waste of my time and everyone else’s that walked in and walked out"

"I absolutely love this place! If you work by the West Loop, be sure to go here after a long day! The food and atmosphere is amazing! If you love truffle... get the Taleggio Focaccia! We also had the best server Meg was awesome and suggested the right things from the menu...a fun server!"

"Wow, what a great neighborship taverne. the beer selection was very good and served in right glasses and very cold and crisp. the selection of the food was not their typical tavern. we felt like we were eating in a friend. if they can only order an item, order the chicken pot pie! simply the best pot pie I've ever eaten. well the extra travel time north of the city center in this charming place in an upscale quarter. the decoration and the refinements give a look into the history of this place, which is considered the oldest operational tavern in chicago. the personal was helpful and patient with first timers. highly recommended."

"Fantastic place, great for intimate conversations or making your new best friends. Drinks are upscale but not pompous, with good ingredients and playful takes on historic builds. Jack and his skeleton crew did a great job managing a busy bar and keeping everyone happy and well lubricated. Also: Know what you want to order before you step up to the bar. If you don’t, order a beer and keep the show moving, Karen. “What’s good here?” Is not an appropriate thing to ask in a packed bar. Be an adult."
