"We waited an hour and a half for a steak that was barely average. Asked for the sauce to be held on the side but it was smothered in it and the fries were lukewarm at best. And the table across from us was served their entrees before us despite having been seated 35 minutes after. When discussing with the owner, he didn’t make any accommodations and made various excuses. Will never dine there again."

"The food was delicious! I wish they had a larger menu with other elements than sushi. there were no options for bento box except 1 item. I wish there were more because the Japanese pancake was good, but it wasn't what I believed in this day and it was just the one option. again it was delicious"

"As usual, excellent service and wonderful food. my man and I like to sit in the sushi bar where we like to prepare the chefs. johnny, the chef who worked this time right in front of us, was very helpful in choosing various items to try. all his recommendations were delicious. sakura is one of our favorite places to eat in girdwood."

"So Sakura closes at 10p, we rolled in at 9:45p. The host gave us a huge grin and said we are no longer seating people. I said ok, no problem, I get it- I was once in the restaurant industry too- but then I asked if we could just grab a few things to go. No was the answer again. I 100% understand wanting to go home after a long day. I don’t understand turning customers away 15 min before you close. I rarely write poor reviews- but when a host is just a little too happy turning people away I figure the owner would want to know."

"Best salmon sashimi we've ever had, and the open grill prepared cod salmon were fantastic. Great sake selection chosen by our server as well. If only I lived in Girdwood I'd go there often!"
