"Christmas menus are often a little disappointing when compared to the range offered on a normal a la carte. I had the houmous followed by Lebanese fattoush. Large unripe tomatoes, slices of cucumber and radish, a few tears of flatbread and some chopped unseared/ungrilled halloumi. Seasoned with sumac. Unfortunately I could have produced better at home. My colleagues meat meals looked superior."

"We visited a function display and stayed overnight. the pub itself is pleasant and the beer is good, with a few decent designs biere from elland on hahn. the staff was helpful and friendly. we enjoyed our time in the function often function. rooms can be poorly located, but this is served by a private bar and facilities so great for a private party. we were in the room the rooms are not large and there is a little lärm leak between the rooms, but they are perfectly equipped and comfortable. we could not ask for the money. the breakfast was included in the room price and was very good. many of the choice, served fast and good quality."

"Very disappointed with the whole experience. I had done my research on line and the reviews were good excellent so was really looking forward to finding another great pub restaurant. The service was poor, very slow taking order and took almost an hour to get our main course. No fish available and tomato and basil soup had chilli in which I am allergic to. Steak pies were OK but the reason for the delay was 'they had to make more pastry top '. They had over an hour to do this and even I can make pastry in less than an hour!! Go if you feel you must, but I am sorry I cannot recommend the food, service or ambience."
