"The place was packed with people when we were there, it gives a bit of claustrophobic feeling. A table or two less in the restaurant would be better, and also give the waiters a bit more time per table. Tables were also very small, barely enough space for the two big plates of food. Besides this I have to say the food is quite good. We had the Argentinian prawns, pork, entrecote, asparagus beans, spanish cheese platter, grilled chevre, olives, mussels, bread and aioli. The only thingI would not order again is the asparagus beans. The one I would really recommend is the prawns. Enjoy the meal!"

"Fantastic location at oslo's citry center. The restaurant has a pub feeling spiced up with more vintage touches. The food was delicious, well cooked and the staff members were friendly. It offers a self-order facility via a mobile phone. For those who prefer a human interraction, it is possible to order at the bar and pay instantly."

"Dining at Hereford Steakhouse promised an evening of culinary delight, and in many aspects, it did not disappoint. The food was undeniably delicious, with the steaks standing out as the highlight of the evening. However, a good meal should be complemented with equally commendable service, and unfortunately, that was not the case during our visit. The Good: We started our meal with scallops and French onion soup. The scallops were well-prepared and enjoyable. The comprehensive selection of steaks provided an exciting palette of flavors, and the execution on these steaks was impeccable, deserving of praise. The Not-So-Good: The service we experienced during our visit left a lot to be desired. With just two servers attending to the entire restaurant, it seemed quite clear that they were understaffed. This not only impacted the speed of the service but its quality as well. Our server, although seemingly well-intentioned, seemed inexperienced. The language barrier was evident – he didn 't speak Norwegian and struggled with English. This led to significant misunderstandings. Two of our party had ordered lobster to accompany their steak, yet only one was initially served. The omission of the second lobster seemed like a clear oversight. Moreover, one member of our group is allergic to mushrooms and had explicitly requested their dish to be prepared without them. Sadly, they were served vegetables mixed with mushrooms, which could have had serious consequences. Lastly, a point on customization. In many steakhouses globally, serving vegetables and sides family style is customary, especially given the price point. Our server seemed unfamiliar with this concept, which was disappointing. A minor note on the French onion soup – it could have done with a more generous helping of cheese. To Conclude: For a bill that totaled 5500 NOK for five guests, one would expect both food and service to be top-notch. While the food – especially the steaks – were delightful and justified the cost, the service, unfortunately, marred our overall experience. Should you decide to dine at Hereford Steakhouse, come for the food, but be prepared for potential lapses in service."
