"Can't say enough about the Roadhouse... We go there regularly and the food is always amazing! The smoked wings and brisket sandwiches, just to name a couple, are truly to die for.. The atmosphere is cosy and the service is quite good. It has a lovely, authentic rural Alberta feel within city limits. Everything about this place is awesome!"

"A first for husband and me. This restaurant is more of a 'bar and grill' type. It has outdoor sitting available as well as ample indoor space. The wait staff is very friendly and helpful for 'first timers' explaining the menu which is basically a la carte ordering for sides. Main dishes do not come with any sides. We found that the sides were ample enough to share because the main entrees are huge! We each enjoyed a sliced brisket sandwich with smokestack corn (which is like a chowder) and coleslaw (vinegar based). We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and people watching."

"My husband and I chose to visit Dutton's while at the Calgary stampede park instead of eating midway food. The restaurant is definitely a pub type experience. We were told to sit anywhere and were promptly approached by a server. Quick service considering the venue. We ordered two different burgers (Lava burger for me and Red Eye Burger for husband) with fries/tots. Both were tasty, but didn't really care for the black broche bun. We chose coffee and water to drink. It is about the price of most restaurants that we have visited in Calgary. The price vs the food is a little on the high side...but the food is good."

"Live nearby this pub and finely caught lunch with a friend. It was midday lunch, so sparse with people. I used to watch movies here so that was part of the curiosity. Inside, not much had changed, room size. We joked about the price of a meal special on the chalk board. $995, they missed a decimal, they had fun with us on it before fixing it.Sadly for my friends future plans, all the seats are pretty high chairs, high tables. So his plans of bringing his wife who can't get up was dashed. They had a band setup, silent at lunchtime. My impression of the atmosphere is not great for lunch but really geared for a night crowd, lots of sports tv screens. The high seats made sense for when the band hits the stage and the crowd is milling about, you can sit, eat while being up high enough to see over heads. So that makes sense. the decor is simple but effective, works with their name.The food is a limit pub fare, I had the beef dip came with salty fries in funky fake newspaper wrap. Very tasty fries. the Beef dip was done on Pinene Press bread. gave it a unique texture. My friend had the fish and chips. He usually orders that when he can wherever we go. He like this serving.portions were smaller than I usually receive, but filling enough, pricing was average. It was an average lunch. I think with the atmosphere the evening crowd would be a happy bunch though."
