"Great finding places like this with a unique character which is evident as soon as you walk through the door. Like having lunch in a tree house (but more comfortable)! Both of us had the chilli which was excellent and filling, also shared a good...salad. Prices were very reasonable. Would definitely go back if passing through again"

"Ambience here is nice, and the patio area has a nice array of space heaters and nice views of foliage outside. Staff were quick to seat us but just ok on speed there-after, and down-right slow to pay. Might be due to staffing shortages. The food is good, but nothing great (other reviews that describe how this place's best feature is the ambience are spot on. We had the salmon sandwich which was quite good. We opted for the Caesar Salad which was probably the high point for the food. The seafood crepe was not good at all and we couldn't even eat half of it. It seems like it's smeared in yellow mustard, cheese, and just wasn't appealing. Try some other places in Courtenay before Locals."
