"Looking through the reviews on TA about Tours there are many rave reviews about restaurants offering fantastic food. My experience was ghat the quality of these places is over-rated and my favourite place by far was this place. It's a small bistro/bar on a corner...close to the cathedral. Menu is small and unpretentious. We had charcuterie and smoked salmon starters and then both had Moules frites (a gigantic portion) followed by creme brûlée and a coup de glaces. With a couple if beers each that came to just over 50 euros. Add in an excellent friendly waitress and food that was good throughout this was an excellent experience"

"De passage à Tours, pas facile de trouver une table pour diner un samedi de Pâques et bonne surprise que ce Soleil au bout de la rue Colbert. Accueil plein de gentillesse, cuisine sans chichi, bien faite maison. Ambiance sereine même avec salle comble, le coté féminin familial sans doute. On aime bien !"

"We were a bit tired of a long day of weeping. I know so sad) and looking for a place close to our airbnb, but away from the crowd. we checked out the menu outside as two people eating have stopped long... although we say that eating was excellent. my wife ordered the smoked salmon sandwich while I went to the deenburger. the salmon sandwich was open and delicious, per my wife. the duck was not ground, but was discs of perfectly boiled duck breast with caramelized wobble with a bear sauce. served with a local vouvray wein."
