"We stayed for one night at the Bell, pub/ hotel. We had booked the best room as it advertised a Super-king bed. £170 per night comfortable but too expensive for what it was Also no body mentions during the booking stage it is upstairs and I have difficulty with stairs. Cameron greeted us with a friendly greeting and did swap the room for a shower instead of a bath. Unfortunately the room was over the outside seating area and there was a noisy crowd with very loud voices. So don’t pick that room in the summer. We had booked in the restaurant for Dinner. I had the Ribeye Steak with a small side of chips and some green dressing. Steak was fatty and tough.Greens had too much dressing. £36:00 didn’t realise it cost that much. My husband had a Pizza £16:00. One beer £6:20 x 2 desserts £77:00 shocked when received the bill. Then in the morning thought breakfast was included but was only the continental breakfast. Bacon sandwich was a charge of £5:00 and was very fatty as well. Will not be returning. Nice place. Friendly staff but just too expensive."

"We were met with a pleasant surround that had clearly been refurbished in the last year or so. All felt very relaxed yet the food and it’s presentation were very good indeed. You always judge a Sunday Lunch by its roast potatoes and these were...lovely crisp skins with soft, slightly fluffy insides but they were just a little too ‘dry’. The meat was beautifully cooked. The dessert was exquisite too and the staff were polite, friendly and didn’t hover despite it being quiet. A recommended visit for food!"

"Myself and my Fiancé had the day off and thought we would go for some breakfast. The staff were so friendly, the young boy serving us was very polite and attentive. My partner had the sunshine breakfast which was cooked well and just the right amount of food to not feel overly full , he said perfect filler! I had salmon, scrambled eggs and toast and it really was lovely! Would recommend to anyone wanting a lovely friendly and homely feel with delicious food! Thank you, will definitely be back soon!"

"This is not a luxury hotel! We leave so very disappointed after the service and expectations set by your website leave us wanting in every area. Service at dinner both evenings and breakfast have been very poor, I think we were forgotten in the side room on our first evening, and being shown to the heavily stained seats for breakfast the next day for breakfast made our hearts sink. From luke warm prosecco, orders for adult dinners only bring taken after the children have finished eating, having to ask both evenings where the food was 45 mins after ordering just makes the experience with small children tiresome and far from enjoyable. The room we were in was simply not big enough for four, with less than a foot at the end of the bed to squeeze past the two camp beds. The cheap fridge made such a racket when plugged in we couldn't use it. There is such a large gap under the main door to the hotel room we could hear other people's babies crying so clearly at 3am they may as well have been in our room! The radiator was so hot in the bathroom with no temperature control that is scolded my arm. The facilities are tired, broken and unusable trampoline, tired and tatty play facilities for the children and a pool which was shut for part of the day on Saturday and delayed opening on Sunday.The new pizzas cafe was the only highlight, as were the staff who are clearly all lovely but either not trained sufficiently or so understaffed that they are fighting a losing battle in terms of delivering anything close to good service. Would I come here again, no. Would I recommend it to others, no. I cannot believe we have spent so much money on such a poor stay."

"As a regular I thought to do a write up. I called in for a well made coffee and chat. It feels like a community hub, a friendly cafe a place to relax. The owner, Alex, offers a range of drinks plus quite a few Italian soft drinks and produce. A great place to take 5 for yourself."
