"Saturday Night in Old Montreal: We expected to feel " lucky" that a table was available at 7 pm for a group of 11 ( Hungry Teenagers, Young Adults and their Moms and Dads ). We were seated in a Big, Noisy Room on the 3rd floor ( Suggestion: Bring earplugs, the noise level is incredibly annoying). Our Lucky`feeling drained away as the time wore on and our meals never arrived, the staff ran around in circles, some of them avoiding us and staging panic- control meetings with the 2hostesses (one of whom was chewing food while surveying the scene) when an hour had passed and no supper appeared. A few waiters looked to be competent while serving customers who had arrived a half an hour or 45 minutes after us hot meals and Bowls of Fries circulating all around our Centrally located Table ( Actually in the Flight- Path of the Over- Worked Waitstaff who continually Banged into two of our Chairs and elbows, we finally moved our table 6 inches out of the Path of the Busy, Harried Young Servers which freed up space for them to Briskly Rush by with Other People`s meals. In case you are you are Wondering, the food finally did arrive, after an Hour and 20 minutes and some of it tasted good, a couple of the plates had warm fries and the Manager Triumphantly visited our table to offer free Dessert and Coffee to make up for the Sad, Long, Anxious time our Previously Joyful Group spent in an Old Montreal Steakhouse that Robbed us of Hope and Gave us so Many water glass refills that who could be surprised the Women`s Restroom floor Flooded! Good Luck to Anyone who goes to this Restaurant on a Busy Summer Saturday, You might get served in a Timely Fashion ( or Not) it is a Game of Chance!"
