"I don't have unreasonable expectations for restaurants. A general respect and some basic manners is all I expect. I was completed taken aback by the rudeness of one particular waitress. I was in here to pick up take out when the waitress told me that one of my orders isn't in the system. I said "What do you mean it isn't in the system, I paid for it already" She showed me the computer screen quite angrily and said "SEE? its not here" I said "I don't understand, its been paid for already" in which case she responded by huffing towards a stack of take out boxes that were ready and pointed towards it and said "is it this"And she was completely exasperated telling me " YOU have to tell me that its ready and there"I said "I don't know that it's ready"and she was exasperated and said "Just go pay for your order" WTF?? I have to tell her that my take out is ready? I'll never go back there again."

"Tried the food for the first time tonight. The fried chicken is good as well as the pork trotter. Overall we were pleased with the portions and the taste of the food.Unfortunately, what ruined our evening there was a server who, at the end of the dinner, noticed that we had not tipped over 15%. She then proceeded to call us out and tell us we should have tipped more and to do so for next time. Yet we were only a party of 4 (it's a small restaurant) and there was no indication that this was a policy at the restaurant. The service was not very good as we never got asked if we needed refills of side dishes or water, nor did she stop by our table to check on how we were doing or how the food was. She also didn't smile very much so... yeah. Next time you ask for a larger tip, perhaps consider providing better service to your customers. Especially when we are sitting right in front of the kitchen. She wasn't unpleasant, but calling out your customers for a tip, which is up to the customer, is pretty poor practice.Likely won't be coming back due to some poor customer service.Edit looks like another table who were there at the same time as us also got called out, this time for not tipping at all."

"3 stars for the service not because it was bad. Servers were well mannered but a little more interaction would be great. All else was perfect. Noodle soup was hot and yummy. Place was clean and tidy. Recommanded"

"We came here earlier to LOVE when we were in Coquitlam, but our first visit after their renovations in the summer we learned that they don't make Dim Sum anymore... They sat and checked what you wanted and it came to... Your table and there were tons of choices... they now have only a tiny section on their main menu called Starters and Dim Sum. Utterly disappointed and will not be returned after this visit."

"We discovered this little Korean sit-in/take-out snack place during a recent morning walk in Hanin Village. Sol 's was open, we got in and decided it would be perfect for a breakfast snack. We were right, and I'm sure we decided to go and try some of their food. It's a small place, with four small tables, most expulsions, I guess, and opens at 10 o'clock. The cook was busy preparing a take-out order when we arrived at 10:30 and became their first sit-down customers. We've shared orders from fishcake soup and steamed dumplings. The soup was a good bowl of value, with several different types of fish cake, in a mild and tasteful, light stick. The dumplings (10 of them) large and well filled with a mixture of minced meat and vegetables. Both dishes were freshly prepared and delicious and served cake hot on our table. Our kind of breakfast, and it sure hit-the-spot. We liked Sol's little house!!"

"I went to Matoi Sushi Coquitlam in November and I was very pleased with the service and food. This restaurant is one of the few actual authentic Japanese restaurants in the lower mainland. Would dine here again."

"The place is rather tiny to dine in so the spots to dine in is pretty limited.It was my first time eating at this place and I enjoyed everything about this place. atmosphere and service I got when I ordered? it was fantastic. and the quality of the poke was really fresh and I would say this will be best place to go for if you are craving for a poke bowl. price is reasonable but they do not accept cash so make sure you bring debit or Visa or credit cards with you."
