"I was there as a birthday treat to myself. All the staff were very attentive. Service was not rushed and was exactly as wanted. fantastic recommendations for wines for each course and they were really good. Best dish I had was probably the monkfish but they were all fantastic"

"An old-school dining establishment in the heart of Covent Garden, which oozes French charm (complete with vintage Ricard adverts and similar memorabilia), Mon Plaisir is a place that any fan of French cuisine simply has to check out. The food is delicious and traditional, it's in no way minimalist but rather an assortment of classic dishes done to perfection: the coq au vin is a particular highlight, as are the petit-pois with cream and bacon mixed in. The restaurant also boasts a tremendously inexpensive set-menu for lunch and pre-theatre. "I didn’t like the place. The music was too loud and the restaurant didn’t remind me of Greece what so ever. We asked not to be too close to the entrance as it was freezing but they placed us next to the door although some inside tables were available. If you are looking for traditional Greek restaurant, this restaurant has nothing of Greek! Negative experience!"

"Came by to celebrate a special occasion. Really enjoyed the meal; particularly enjoyed the smoked eel, mackerel tartare and duck. The meatball dish was mostly mash- only 5 meatballs- but was otherwise good. For drinks I had a Nordic Bramble which I really enjoyed, but was disappointed by the Arctic Egg dessert which, while very visually appealing, wasn't really to my tastes flavour wise, with blueberries, chocolate and what tasted like a goat milk sorbet. Service was lovely, though I found it a bit pricey overall."
