"Loves the henhouse, especially because the staff is very good, friendly and happy to chat a little. eating is great and in many portions I never let hunger! there is also a good selection of drinks. on Friday they have a musician and it is an open slot for musicians to apply. it's even paid. the music is not so loud that it spoils the conversation, and it is great to see restaurants that try such things that also supports the artist. their burgers are also better than any of the "Gremet" offers elsewhere in the city."

"As there is no means for me to update my review of 2 March 2016, this re review is really just an addendum and update to that review. I had lunch there again on Wednesday 20 April, and the main thing I want to emphasize more is the value for money, and also to correct one little bit of misleading info about Leila 's that, shall we say, came to me from a little birdie, which latter would presumably have been telling other people the same thing. This time, in my innocence I ordered a falafel salad to have as a starter (after all, its price, at £3.50, is what fairly minimal starters commonly cost in most eating places , to be followed by their Koobideh, which is a couple of elongate slabs of freshly grilled lamb mince with tzatziki, saffron rice and salad. To tell the truth, this resulted in a considerable overeat! The falafel salad turned out to be large and filling enough to make a very reasonable and really quite delicious snack meal or light lunch in itself, and then, the two slabs of lamb mince in the Koobideh were of really substantial size, the large oval plate still giving space for a generous serving or the rice and the salad, making a potentially balanced meal well, except that in my books *so* much meat of any description, let alone 'red ' meat, unbalances a meal and is downright unhealthy! I 'm saying that NOT at all as a complaint, but simply to pass on useful information. As I remarked to Omeed the proprietor, another time I order those items there, I would ask for half quantity falafel salad, which would do extremely well as an appetizing starter, and then in the case of the Koobideh I would ask for just one of those mince slabs. For me, as a minimal eater of red meat, that would still be rather a lot, but at least it wouldn 't be a gross excess, and would get evened out by my various other non meat days in the week. That way I 'd still get a large meal (no need then for an evening meal , and the price would presumably be reduced a little but even with the full quantities last Wednesday, the overall price came out a little below average for a two course lunch, which in many other local quality eating establishments, would have been smaller anyway. I did remark to Omeed on this exceptional value for money, and his response, with a shrug of shoulders, was We are not greedy people... . He can tell me that again! : He and Renata, his partner, clearly enjoyed running the business as a social thing, conversing a lot with customers while getting on with the cooking and a multitude of other things. The little bit of misinformation that I picked up locally relates to the supposed result of the physical size of the cafe and its not having room for a separate kitchen area. Supposedly, therefore, they didn 't actually cook anything there and just warmed things up there (in other words, little or nothing was freshly cooked there . Well, while I was there on both my visits, what I actually saw was an absolute hive of mostly one man *cooking* activity there, yes, with plenty being fresh cooked. Not hidden away in some kitchen, but right there in full view behind the counter, and indeed much of it right in the window for passers by to stare at. Can 't imagine how that little birdie managed not to see what 's actually going on in Leila 's! : One final clarification. During last Wednesday 's visit of mine to Leila 's, in the course of conversation at one point Omeed pointed out that there are two Facebook pages for this cafe an official and an unofficial one. I would like to point out that, with no ill will at all he expressed some unease about the existence of that unofficial page, because it was clearly diverting some people away from the café 's own 'official ' page, and was a bit concerned that he had no control over what appeared on that unofficial page. I gently suggest that visitors to any Facebook page for this cafe look carefully to see whether it is the genuine page. The unofficial one does say it is an unofficial page, albeit in rather small, greyish text. If you really want to 'like ' that one, I just hope you 'll also go to the 'official ' one and make sure of 'liking ' that one and putting your comments there."
