"I had amazing cookies and gravy from here, got to go on the bar. I went back another day in the evening and had a reub. the meat was a bit hard in sharing, but the overall flavors were great. not my kind of pommes. cool alaskan atmosphere. great breakfast experience. great local coffee. update: came to breakfast at 1:30 o'clock (they stop breakfast at 2 o'clock) and I barbed until bar, although I don't drink alcohol. love it when the bartender and waiter harmonize with the jukebox. they made me a fresh pot strong coffee with locally roasted beans. I'm gonna get my way to eat good with good vibes. I felt very welcome here, fun location to experience a real Alaska facility. update them the salads are amazing, the chili is sharp, all breakfast foods are so good."

"We sat down quickly but had to wait 10 20 minutes between being acknowledged getting drinks getting entrees paying for bill. The food and drinks weren’t worth the price. I got a salmon glacier salad. The salad was good but the salmon was over seasoned."

"I ordered the broiled halibut with rice, potatoes, and veggies. The halibut was in the dry side. Some bites really required me to drink afterwards. The rice was pretty good with a mild flavor and the potatoes and carrots were by far the best part of the whole meal. I may try this place again but I wouldn't go out of my way to go here again. I ordered thus as takeout so did take this in to account. The atmosphere of the restaurant seems to be intriguing and welcoming. The staff was really friendly and helpful."

"Excellent food plain and straightforward no surprises. We were looking for a good, simple, lunch that was affordable and the Chowder House delivered! I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a quality meal in Fairbanks. My husband and son each had chowder and mini loaf which they said were excellent. I had a Chef Salad also very good."
