"I hate leaving bad reviews especially for local businesses but ppl need to know!Pros: plant-based restaurant dedicated to bfast/brunch, friendly serviceCons: whoa that coffee was BAD I don't recommend. Tasted like free hotel coffee). They only had one server not sure if they were short staffed but it took them a while to take our order). Way overpriced for what you get , quality wise my partner and I were very disappointed and paid $14 $15 for our meals. I didn't realize the chicken n waffles came w cooked frozen nuggets lol and the gravy and biscuits seemed so old)."

"Our reservation for 10 was lost when we arrived. Our group was still sitting on a big table for 10 and when the waitress came, we were told that the restaurant was supplied with only 2 chefs for our food to be delayed. We were also told that a number of employees did not appear to work. Service as a whole was bad and our waitress was crisp at times when we ordered and published. I ordered Cesar Salat and it was the worst Cesar Salat I ever had. Basically it was romaine lettuce with some croutons. The dressing tasted like a fishy, watery mayonnaise. There were neither parmesan nor other cheeses. I paid extra for chickens under season and the part was small. I will not return to this Shilo restaurant for dinner or other meals in the future."

"We came for my boyfrienda birthday. It was extremely disapppointing. The food was awful and over priced. There was also limited selection. The caesar salad was terrible and full of the ier yellow lettuce that made it bitter. I hadnt been to the restaurant for years and it has significantly gone down hill. I was speaking to an acquaintance and he had the same opinion.Service was ok but slow. Actually the busboy forget to give one of us water and when we asked for it, he argued with us and said he did give it.Truly was a waste of moey but more importantly ruined the birthday celebration."

"Great food and service. Very friendly staff and very accommodating for our two children. We all ate until we were full and went into our pockets with two more meals worth of food. Great neighborhood restaurant and good Italian food. I would recommend the Calimari as a starter who can keep up with the best that Chicago has to offer. 10 out of 10 experiences we will come back! ????????"

"We did the Shanghai Underground tour and it was awesome. Very educational and interesting. It's amazing that Portland built their present city over the old one and tried to just bury it and pretend it never happened. We learned such amazing and rich history of the city in it's early days and how rough and scary of a place it really was. If you're ever in Portland I highly recommend you take the time to experience this tour. I do have pictures but I can not post them or use them without permission of the Shanghai Underground Tour people."
