"Visited Ho Tongs on March 4 for lunch. We had been to this restaurant a year prior and the soups were great, so we returned in hopes of a repeat performance. What a let-down. The 3 of us each ordered a different soup and we all had a spring roll. The spring roll was average, but the soup was not good. We were assured the soup would have vegetables, but instead there were a few pieces of bok choy. The soup broth was bland and not worthy of eating. We were all disappointed, which was unfortunate given our memory of great soup from the year before. I will not recommend this restaurant and will not return to it!"

"You would never guess from the location in a suburban strip mall, but this place has some of the best authentic Chinese food we've had on this side of the Pacific. We had the deceptively difficult to prepare szechuan classic mapo tofu and it was...perfect. We also had salt and pepper squid and it was the freshest tasting we've ever had in Victoria. We went for dinner and it was great. We understand they've had some issues with the lunch buffet, but the dinner was faultless. Great, friendly service and reasonable prices too."

"I have never had a meal here that I did not enjoy. They have the most consistent level of quality in all of Victoria. It's counter service, so the wait is short to non-existent. Great steamed milk. Best hollandaise in town. Prices are so low that I don't want to mention them in case they get wise... $10.95 for a 3-filling omelette and cheese is included? Crazy goodness."

"The food is so delicious. You're very busy. My husband was asked to pick up 1 hour and 45 minutes after our order, and then waited an hour in the restaurant. I'll say the food is so worth it. My goodness is the best Chinese I've ever had."
