"Just a simple bar on the main street through the town but served us an enjoyable breakfast. We each had one of the two petit dejeuner prix fixe options: one sweet, one savoury and both were just right to start another hot day in the Dordogne. Really appreciated being given a water bowl for the dog without asking. Friendly, attentive service."

"We chose this restaurant as it looked inviting and the menu was extensive. We reserved a table for 8pm on a Saturday night but when we arrived they had no other customers. We should have taken that as warning! Initially the waiter was attentive and we ordered an aperitif,which came with no nuts or olives, which we are accustomed to, having lived in France for 15 years. Our food arrived and I had to request 2 glasses of wine as we had no drinks other than water. So the food.... I ordered moules/frites. The mussels were good and the chips home cooked which were great. However my husband 's steak, which he had requested as 'well done ' was stringy, fatty and raw in places. At no point were we asked if the meal was to our liking so when the plates were cleared we explained how awful the steak was and that it was mainly inedible. The waiter was apologetic but we were still given the bill for the full amount, which we reluctantly paid. I explained to the waiter, in French, that we have lived in France for 15 years and that was the worst steak we have been served. He looked surprised that we were not Brits on holiday and that we might actually know something about French cuisine. At no point did the chef come to speak to us. Just propped himself against the bar and looked indifferent to our complaints. We do not recommend!"

"I went there for a wedding, the frame is sublime. the estate is impressive and offers many spots for the photos. the plates are copied and quality products. the majority of the waitresses present were helpful and smiling. I recommend, without hesitation."

"Whist on holiday in Sarlat we were walking up the main street looking for breakfast and thought we would try the Chez Murroux, and were very glad we did, ended up eating there the next 5 mornings. We had a very friendly welcome and sat both inside and outside. Inside the tables are well spaced, all nice and clean. All 4 of us ordered the 9€ breakfast which consisted of an omelette, croissant, bread butter, jam , juice and coffee, great value. All cooked and presented well. Would defiantly recommend and return if in the area again. Thank you for the lovely breakfasts."

"The worst Asian cuisine we've ever eaten. we ordered a great selection so we could get a feeling for the place. the appetizers were crumbling and burned on a crumb (ok, the samosas were edible). the Thai spicy salate had no spices and looked nothing like a Thai spicy salate all noodles and no taste. no season except soy and sriracha, when we asked for spicy Thai condiments brought us a tub of hidden, gooey sweeter and sour sauce. the caramel pig had no taste; could have come out of a glass. only terrible, except the beer. service was slow but pleasant. we live near sarlat but will never go back there."

"We both had menu. The price was euro each. I tried to order the merlot at one of the low cost bottles of wine. However the waiter, an older gentleman, recommended a local Cabernet Sauvignon from Chateau Belingard at the same price. Very...good recommendation. My menu was wonderful while my wife’s was fine. So I gave a vs her stars. I had the foie gras then the lamb and then the cream brûlée? The question is not about the spelling but I may not have the item correct The foie gras was fine and had a nice salad to go with it. Using the bread made it very tasty. The lamb was wonderful. The sauce was just a little sweet. We both loved it. The cooking was perfect. Drop off the bone but very moist. The ends were burnt but moist. Also fine mashed potatoes. The desert- wow. A crispy bottom with a delicious cream and then topped with cut small strawberry’s. Served cold and with a very good ice cream. Wow. My wife like her meal but mine was great for euro. She had crab charlett, duck and goat cheese. Note follow the suggestions of the server if you get who we had. He commented on most selections and if you hesitate he will guide you"
