"This is not a review of the food, as I didn't eat. Nor is it the accomodation, as I didn't stay. It is a review of a pint of Guinness I had there today. Tuesday afternoon, nice and quiet.. popped in for a pint. £5.10p. Very reasonable. Unfortunately downhill from there. I'll bullet point the problems.. to avoid a drawn out affair.. 1. The glass wasn't dry. You can tell this from the creeping mottled effect visible. 2. The head is about 5mm 3. There is Guinness spilt down the outside of the glass. 4. It tasted utterly awful. The first three problems on this list are forgivable.. but the last isn't. I've had many pints of Guinness, in many places.. but this was in the bottom 3. Very disappointed. Given that you can buy a four pack from the supermarket for roughly the same outlay.. people bemoan pubs going out of business... but do we ask why? Bartenders being able to pour/keep a decent pint helps.."

"Excellent service, emailed Mark the chef about vegetarian starter preferences and he tailored the offering. Service was attentive but not too fussy. I'd have given 5 for the atmosphere as the vibe was really chilled but music is very important to me so would have preferred instrumental background music (that's subjective such a first world problem! . We had a great night and totally recommend this place. Service: Dine in"

"We found this hidden gem and put it on our regular place to lunch. do not hesitate that they are not so disappointed. the foods are very inventive and fresh. try jos piccalilli for the trip."

"Great little sound and a certain go-to when they are in sticky toffee pudding! rich, tasty toffee sauce that I would happily pamper every day. unfortunately only in the holiday area. super friendly service and the amazing environment kept my daughter all the time. she also loved the ducks on the small cup for her milk. most recommended! money is the easiest (min £10 for card output)"

"High quality Sunday lunch with a lot more options than expected from the online menu. We had a small dog with us, so had to eat in the bar area but that was fine. Mushroom tagliatelle, blue cheese gnocchi, chicken and chorizo pie and cheeseburger were all excellent quality. Waitress was really helpful and thoughtful and did her best to make sure everything was as good as possible. Food: 5"

"Walked to Manjushri Priory for coffee and cake on a gorgeous October day so sat out in the gardens to the front of the building. Had a fantastic spiced apple cake, it was delicious, so light and delicious. Worth a visit as they had several vegan options. Updated from previous review on 2022-10-18"
