"Dinner at Bearnaise was disappointing. It started off well with the chicken liver appetizer, which was truly delicious. The entrees, however, let us down. We order the filet mignon, listed at the market price on the menu. The meat was unbelievably salty and so was the bearnaise sauce that accompanied it. Simply inedible. The fries were stale. When the bill arrived we learned that the filet cost $48--a shock given the quantity and preparation. Service was terrible. Of the two waiters, one kept dropping items on the floor and the other didn't listen to our requests. We asked him to recommend a red wine, not too dry. He served us a very dry Bordeaux. Needless to say, we won't return and we'll warn our friends to stay away."

"Anniversary dinner with our two children, 8 and 10. We decided to sit out on the porch on a fairly humid June evening and the ceiling fans made for a nice breeze. We find most of the restaurants are overly air-conditioned, but Metro 8 didn't seem like a fridge even when we came in - that's a big plus for me! Our waitress was very nice and attentive without interfering. She noted that it was nice to see kids with books (and math in our conversation) instead of iPads. The steaks my husband and I ordered were as stated and delicious. So were the pages. Our girls loved their grilled chicken. Cocktails were good and just the right strength. Highly recommended."
