"Love, love, love La Piazza Dario. Our family has had many celebrations at this restaurant. We were just there on Sunday night to celebrate my father’s 90th birthday. The only place my father wanted to go to. Love the atmosphere, love the food, and Lidia is the best hostess and accomodates all your needs. We will keep going back as long as they are there. Thank you again for a lovely evening from the entire LEPORE family"

"Got invited to my Italian friends 25 years anniversary dinner at the Poor Italian restaurant down on East Vancouver , lot of parking , because their location , it is been a while since my last visit , I ate out a lot for business and personal , some time it is lot cheaper to eat out them cook , special you by your self , I did not know they still in business , very homey relaxing atmosphere , lot to choose from , they also have their Autumn Harvest pasta menu on till end of Oct , the steamed mussel very fresh and flavourful , the Calamari is one of the best I had in any restaurants , not chewy or oily , also my Lamb chop (MR tender well balance with garlic and rosemary , just right not over power the lamb , amazing the staff very friendly and service oriented , not easy with 12 of us , so if you looking for a good old functioned authentic Italian food , Poor Italian is the place . there pasta truly fabulous , for sure I will keep this restaurant in mind . also they closed on Monday to Wednesday ."

"Three things I absolutely adore: good food, amazing friends and lovely atmosphere. This past week, La Notte (a wonderful Italian restaurant on Dunbar just south of 16th Avenue, near the UBC campus) had all 3: food that was delicious, across my seat in the same table I had my good friend Erica Hargreave who is one of my best friends, and the atmosphere was just right (although the lighting didn't help my photos, not even in macro). I loved La Notte for so many reasons: the food was excellent, and not extremely expensive (actually, quite inexpensive). The service was spectacular. The pasta they create is perfectly cooked and not overwhelmingly heavy, and they totally spoiled me on my choice of dinner. And it was lovely of my good friend Erica to take me there for dinner (I had been working late at the university), since she was in town just briefly on her way to Ontario. Casual fine dining is yours to enjoy in a Tuscan atmosphere. Well known for its Pasta selections and veal specialties,"
