"I ordered curry chicken and Singapore Vermicelli- both were waiting for me when I came by to pickup. Service was very pleasant and the place does a LOT of business as it is always crowded. Not the absolute best food I have ever eaten but definitely very ,very good and I will be going back for more in the future!"

"We got hungry late one Sunday and dropped in for some Dim Sum. They had a good selection (no carts however don 't know if that 's how they always serve Dim Sum or because it was after 3pm) of Dim Sum! I 've had Dim Sum in many countries, and this was very good. Some unusual items were on the menu too. Price was a bit higher than usual, but the quality was also. One tiny negative we had to 'ask ' for soy sauce, and they only brought it in small little saucers for each person. When you quickly run out they have to fetch another. The soy was good, however! After we ate, we sat there for an hour and talked. The waitress did not try to rush us out, at all. Try it out you might like it."

"A little MSG you will like coming here. However, your stomach might not thank you later. You definitely will be heading to the washroom after. Don't get me wrong some of the food for dim sum was very good like the halibut ginger and onion which was very meaty and tasty. The egg tart however is not as good as other dim sum restaurants as the crust was thick and soft and not flaky. There were other tasty dishes but these are what stick out. The service was good and the placed was packed with people. The cost of each dish averages to $5 each which is pretty standard. Overall, I would probably spend a little more at other dim sum restaurants."

"This is one of those old time Chinese restaurants we used to find in one street prairie towns that had big helpings of excellent, tasty, chinese food, large menus, endless green tea, but no attempt to impress with phoney atmosphere or fancy decor. Perfect! I have eaten here many times over the years and it is the go to place for a plate of beef and broccoli (or what you fancy) on a bed of fried rice when you are low on cash and looking for a fill up. The name was changed recently to "The Golden Penny Chinese Restaurant", I don't know why, the staff is the same and the food is the same as always. Highly recommend for good food and good prices."

"Fresh is the key word here. Chef that absolutely knows what he's doing, along with preparing everything from scratch in a glass cooking station makes a winning combination of great tasting food. We tried two new entrees and a serving of noodles that were as perfect as they come. Definitely going back to sample other items. One thing that was apparent - all the clients, other than us, were native Chinese. To me it says something if they come to this place to have their homeland cuisine."

"Girl Friend#3 in town for Easter ,she love spicy sea foods , I hear a lot of Kens spicy Salts & Pepper Prawns ,so ,we went in on Sunday night ,the place is busy ,it is o.k ,it is clean ,the food is mediocre , vegetable is over cooked but not greasy ,but ,I do not understand it ,there Salts & pepper Prawns and also the crabs is cooked excellent, why ? what a different , so ,if you a sea food lover ,this is great place to go ,the rest of the dishes ! forget it , hit and miss , not the best ,but not too terrible either ,service is average , and a lot of street parking out side ,"
