"Don't be fooled by all those photos, that's what we looked at and was like yep let's go there. But when we got there the place was dead, you could hear the chefs and staff all in the back yelling talking. My partners food the seafood tasted like it was had been sitting in the freezer for years and the deep fryer oil was still dripping off the gross calamari that was served. The chips came out warm and not crispy. And then my salmon was only cooked on top but all inside was cold and uncooked and the skin was not crispy and watery.I told the chef and he was lovely enough to cook me another one. However when the next one came out it had no seasoning on it and was agin watery but tasted like he finished it in the microwave. And by that time I'd already finished my salad and chips were too cold to eat. The staff were lovely. But was just so disappointed by food. Wasted a good night there."

"The dinner with Uncle Joe is pleasant, but we didn't get a smile from someone and the lady who served us didn't even look at us. There were a lot of shields in the cafe that say everything they can't do, what scared me to order... until I was up there because I was not sure if what I had ordered would contradict one of their characters. If you are looking for a place to get good food and let your kids have a game, I would recommend it, but do not expect to leave think you are going back."

"This restaurant was recommended by Chris at Ocean Drive Motel. We fell in here after we played across the street on the beach. The service staff was attentive and helpful. Eating quickly came from the kitchen. The Chicken Skewers Sauce was a highlight! If this restaurant sells the sauce through the bottle, I would buy a CASE! All right! Very recommended. The culinary experience was perfect, veranda is beautiful and view spectacular. Even if it was a busy night, the staff cut us in without reservation. Very friendly, delicious food."

"It has been a while since we have had a coffee and donuts at the Donut King located in the Village Shopping Centre at Batemans Bay. It is in a convenient location at the entrance to Coles Supermarket, which is its original location since the...opening of the complex. We were very impressed at the courteous service provided to us on the day we visited. One of the staff members was a young lady who from our observations had great skills in customer service and in clearing tables and keeping the café area clean and tidy. We enjoyed our flat white coffees accompanied by hot donuts. They do have a loyalty card and a special deal for Seniors."

"Really enjoyed the food, great meals, steak not cooked perfectly (my partner asked for rare I asked for medium and they were the other way around, but not the end of the world) and great large servings. Food was quite expensive but service was good and overall a great night."
