"Unfortunately for them I was there to sus out a venue for my bike riding group to visit and have a day out. my meal was well below average small, burnt and vegies seemed microwaved. I don't know how a chicken Parma can appear in front of me within 5 minutes. chips/fries were equivalent of a small fries from Maccas. The chicken was very small with heaps of tomato paste 1 slice of ham and cheese which only covered the middle. I don't know what all the other food tastes like as that was my 1 and only meal I've eaten there. If I was to make a suggestion, I would cut the menu in half, do that properly as opposed to having so much on there, seriously at a guess I reckon a choice of 40 items on the menu plus a specials pamphlet is to much. the specials were barramundi N.T. fish??? do 20 meals right instead of trying to juggle so much. OH! forgot the staff were very friendly and the pub seem like a good old country pub."

"Intimate but not too small dining space inn the centre of town. Just one waitress on duty but she performed magnificently covering the 24 pax having dinner elegantly the Tuesday we were there. On Tuesday - Thursdays they offer Prix Fixe Menu of 2 courses for $45 or 3 for $55 which is remarkable value for the standard of food we enjoyed. selected the charcuterie board starter then two specials off the 'mirror' board plus a side of beans and almonds. The menu is small but concise, the food taste and presentation wonderful and I can tell prepared with passion."

"What a great Hotel, first impressions when you enter this fantastic building is a very underwhelming bar, but don't stop there, venture through the building to the beer garden and surrounding gardens to find secluded picturesque spaces to indulge in some of the finest craft beers on tap. In summer this is definitely the place to go to to listen Blues and hang out with the most hipster of Bendigonians."

"Gentle man that served us only seems to like people that don't ask questions such as.. why am I paying $8 for 2 glasses of water. Gin and tonics are awful, served in huge glasses and flooded with tonic water, shouldn't even bother having the name 'dispensary' if can't make a basic G&T!!! Food was bland, couldn't even serve a decent portion of chips! Waste of time and a lot of money!"

"Very friendly staff. A quirky restaurant with interesting food choices. Delicate dishes well presented with contrasting flavours.You can let the chef choose a menu for you or mix and match from the menu.Nice ambience warm and cosy.This place will not suit everyone though. It is somewhat expensive, but worth it.We will go back but not for a business lunch.The staff were great."

"A couple of years ago I moved to Bendigo and my dreams came true... it's a city of vibrant cafes, interesting places to visit and events. I have since had to move on due to employment changes, but I recall those 7 months I lived there with such fondness as I explored everything the city had on offer. I had stopped here for coffee on my way to work a few times when I lived there, the customer service was always exemplary. Recently I visited Bendigo and caught up with a friend for lunch... I suggested this cafe- she had never, as a local, been to it AND that is a bit of a travesty. But now... she would return. We both found the customer service to be outstanding which has been the norm for this business), the waiter who was utterly brilliant talked us through our choices... She was way more adventurous with her choices than I was. Located in Chancery Lane this business is something quite special. ღღღღღღღღღღღღღღღღღ"

"On a very quiet Monday we dined here with not a lot of other people but it was Monday and it was cold.There is a big menu and we ha to ask our young waiter for advice. We ordered a grilled prawn quesadilla with 3 types of cheese and a beef brisket nachos with added guacamole. I also ordered a Two Birds Taco beer but I have to say that it took too long for the not busy young waiter to deliver. The food was good but not brilliant, we asked was i this part of a chain because thats the the way it appeared to us - very formularised with young staff."

"Very very good. Nice building, tasty food and not expensive. Plus they are open on Mondays unlike most other restaurants around the place all closed until Tues or Wednesday. That's no way to run a business. Definitely we will be back."
