"I've wanted to try this place ever since I saw the sign that it was coming on the site of the former Corner Skillet. So my wife & I went there for supper one evening, looking forward to a unique ethnic meal of a variety we had not tried before. We were disappointed, however, to discover that the food served wasn't exactly Spanish per se, but could more accurately be described as Hispanic or Latin since it featured mostly dishes from Central and South America.But that little disappointment aside, we found the food and service to be very good and plan to come back again to try some of their other offerings."

"My wife and I had the Halibut fish & chips which is a premium cost at $11.99 but we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The light batter on the fish was perfect. The two pieces of fish are somewhat smaller than those served to other customers who probably had the cheaper whitefish. The Lunch Special at $5.59 would likely be a great deal. It was moderately busy on Thursday night and our waiter said the adjacent 2 year road construction is really reducing their business. They have plenty of parking and still easy to get in and out. Our first time there as we were visiting at the nearby condo. We will definitely return."

"This place is a hidden budget gem, I just recently discovered this place and had the opportunity to eat here two days in a row. I was very surprised to see more vegetarian options then meat. Amazingly price buffet with always fresh foods, constantly being replenished. I would highly recommend this place definitely worth a visit."

"No pretensions here — just a commitment to offer good, reasonably priced diner food to customers. The diner tradition is a big thing in the U.S., far less so in Canada. but Angel's meets the requirement with inexpensive, attractively presented meals. On my list visit I tried the liver and bacon, for me one of the litmus tests for a diner, and it definitely made the grade. As for the dessert menu — well I warmly recommend the brandy cheesecake"

"Today was my second visit to Zen Garden. Both visits have been for lunch (my first visit was in January).As this is a vegetarian restaurant, I have tried my favourite 'meat items' with replacement veg-ingredients (to give myself a fair comparison to things I know and love).At Zen Garden, meat is basically changed out of dishes for things like seitan (wheat-meat made from gluten flour), tofu and mushroom.Both times I have found the actual vegetable content of dishes to be a bit sparse. And, as with most Asian restaurant food, it was salty (but no more than any other place).The server working there today explained the owner was on holidays and they were just helping out in the mean time. I'm not sure the temporary staff are super confident in what they are doing and the regular menu I remember from my first visit was vastly reduced...hopefully it will be back to normal when the owner is back.They offer pretty well everything on the menu for sale from the freezer in the shop.I don't think I will likely be returning anytime soon. It was OK but nothing outstanding. I would have hoped for less pre-packaged stuff and more fresh vegetables. I guess vegetarian does not necessarily equal healthy...They have a small off-street parking lot, the washrooms are clean. It really is an OK place, no complaints, just nothing special."
