"In fact, it was a home once upon a time, and it is tucked behind the landscaping on a small street off the main highway so if you didn't know it was here you would drive right past it. Craftsman charm, good beer, and decent pub food more or less as you'd expect with some dependence on fried food: fish and chips, burger plates and the like. And someone's got some Greek ancestry going on as some of the dishes veer that direction. Quiet on midweek days but apparently quite the place on Friday and Saturday nights--you'll see all the neighbors here!"

"Great food interesting owner. We really enjoyed our dinner. The Wor Won Ton soup is simply one of the best we have had. The hamburgers are excellent as is the home made pie. The fish and chips looked wonderful and were being ordered by the locals. Do not miss if you are in the area."

"We stopped by here to have lunch while visiting Chemainus. While there were servers walking about, none told us we needed to go in to place our order until I went and tracked one down to find out about a menu.The 'menu' such as it is, is not very big and quite limited. The Sandwiches we had were very good but we found everything to be over priced. Seems this was the last day they were open before changing hands? The owners were closing up the next day to retire, perhaps someone else will take it over?Drinks (Wine/Beer) over priced. There are several other options in town that you could likely get more bang for your buck."

"We were looking for a standard Subway meal, and that is what we got. Service was adequate... no smiles, no extra interaction with customers. If the staff were a bit friendlier I would be more prepared to recommend this place.There is lots of competition just a block away -- not chain restaurants, but very nice, and friendly!"
