"Fortunately my wife is a coffee connoisseur and this destination gets all her ticks. For me. a foodie, and a Francophile the almond croissants are the perfect start to the day. Once bitten they are irresistible, and if your original plan was to share you will change your mind. Last time I added trying the Citrouille, the roasted pumpkin on toast. For me this description is a gross understatement of what you actually receive: HEAVEN ON TOAST. The semi pureed pumpkin tastes like jam, and comes with a poached egg on top.The gutsy proprietor opened this isolated cafe in the middle of nowhere a year ago. But now people come especially to this little delight. It is certainly part of my repertoire, and I eat out a lot. Two of the waiters are very polite French lads, which adds to the ambiance."

"As described by a close friend of mine, the idea here is to put good vibes out in the world through good and wholesome food.You'll find no compromises here on flavours and freshness. Everything is done to the chef's exacting standards, and it shows. I've never been more impressed by vegetarian fare than I have at Ren Dao. Highly recommended."

"Ordered dinner, a chicken parma. Some of the family had arrived earlier and ordered the meal. One dinner was a chicken parma. Had a taste, and quickly changed my mind. The tomato paste/sauce was unusually spicy, not just for me but for others as well. The fries (not chips) are served in wire baskets which do not stay hot, ask for the fries to be put on the plate. The coleslaw was very hard to chew and with little flavour. Another family member had the fish (fries and salad). The salad was rocket with strips of radish, no flavour. Once again hard to chew. The salad options are a poor substitute for a more simpler and tastier salad they use to have. I hope they bring back the other menu they had before they decided to reinvent and replace a once good menu. One meal had to be remade."
