"As the name suggests this restaurant specialises in steaks. The menu is short but offers enough for those who do not want to eat steak, there is a reasonable wine list and of course excellent local beer. Our steaks were perfectly cooked and service was attentive."

"We went after a long journey to dinner and very hungry. the menu looked very welcoming and the meals were excellent accompanied by local beer and wine from tirol. the other guests and waitress were very friendly and let us feel like we were not. only traveling."

"Als langjährige Gäste sind wir zum ersten mal wieder im stil- und liebevoll renovierten Stern gewesen. Petra und ihr Mann Marco haben tolle Arbeit geleistet und das Zimmer das wir hatten war echt schön. Abends im schönen Biergarten gab es ein sehr gutes Essen (Leberknödelsuppe, Zwiebelrostbraten, Zwieblfleisch), Sonderwünsche wurden wie immer ohne Murren und zur vollen Zufriedenhiet erfüllt. Das Mittenwalder Bier war wie immer gut gekühlt und hervoragend. Die Unterhaltung mit zünftiger Musik und Nachwuchs Plattlern hat uns sehr gut gefallen.Am nächsten morgen gingen wir gut ausgeschlafen zum Frühstück. Dies war reichhaltig und am Buffet gab es alles was wir wollten. Wie ihre Mutter Christel führt auch Petra den Gasthof mit einer ehrlichen Herzlichkeit weiter und wir haben uns rundum sehr wohl gefühlt.Wir kommen wieder!!Birgit & Herbert"

"I ate here with my parents and kids ages and The food was good and the waiter very friendly. The service was slow but that’s because it seems all German restaurants are understaffed. The pizza was great, really enjoyed a homey Italian...meal"

"On our last afternoon in the middle of the forest we have ventured into this charming local coffee shop and bakery. the selection of cakes and broths desire a lot, but I was drawn to have the apfelstrudel and what an inspired decision. astonishing baked and a filling without (minor) cinnamon, which seems all the others try to infect this classic. really charming personal and an authentic feeling made this an excellent discovery."
